It does not take many scriptures to show what love is not, it is all that a person is.



God commends His love to us, by showing it is what gives us a hope beyond this life, so our own feelings about this life, and the ones people advise us on, can be put into perspective, and then God guides by love and not we by something else..





1 John 4:88 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.



Ephesians 3:19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.



1 John 3:16 Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

Many preachers have actually laid down their lives out of love for false teachers. But in return, they’ve received persecution and sometimes death because the false teachers, like the Pharisees, would sooner put to death than receive love-giving correction

Adam, your love is worldly love. Your kind of worldly hates to be corrected by the word of truth.
