God's Word doesn't give us any instructions on how human government should be formed. Paul and Peter simply told Christians to obey the government under which they lived. They lived under nero and other individuals who were despicable in their personal lives. The non Christian writers of the time wrote about how bad the emperors were. But that doesn't excuse rebellion or disobedience to the government. There were Christians during the american revolution who refused to take up arms against Britain. If you don't get what you want, will you take up arms?

If Christians think that passing laws makes people Christian, they have truly left Christ behind. They are the kind of people who only believe In grace for themselves but not for others. The american government is not sacred. Our founding documents did not come from God. America is not a Christian nation. It never has been because God hasn't had any nation since He gave up israel.

I would amillenialists or post millenialists to believe this corrupt gospel. These people believe we are to set up the kingdom now. Christ said his kingdom is not of this world. if it were of thisworld, his disciples would fight. what gospel are you preaching?

The Gospel is About ChristPosted : 19 Mar, 2024 12:44 PMThe gospel is not about liberal or conservative. The gospel is not about the constitution. It isn't about capitalism or socialism. The gospel isn't about voting for trump or biden. The declaration of independence and the constitution are documents made by sinners. They aren't inspired. Then united states has never been a christian nation. The pilgrims and puritans were persecuted in england and europe so they came to these lands. But they persecuted, beat, killed and banished those whose faith differed from theirs. That is not the gospel of Christ. They believed themselves to be a new israel. As a result they governed their community by certain portions of the law of moses. It is just a form of judaism. Augustine started all this. He tried to win those who opposed him by persuasion. When they refused to join his church, he found justification in scripture to beat, imprison and kill those who opposed him. The bishop of rome agreed and was able to get troops to help augustine drive out those that augustine considered heretics. now jump ahead to the reformation.luther and calvin believed the same way that augustine did. they believed in beating, imprisoning

I voted for him in 2016. I have voted Republican and Libertarian as long as have voted. But I learned my lesson. In 2020 I voted against him. I will vote against him in 2024. If you want a Hitler or a Putin to be president, vote for Trump.
