When I signed up on Christian Dating for Free I never expected to find anyone that I would spend the rest of my life with although God had put the desire in my heart to get married. But in August 2008 Kevin sent me a note which was to be the beginning of many more. For several weeks we talked online and seemed to really hit it off. We finally decided to meet in person and our relationship began to grow. As we looked to God for direction He blessed our relationship. Kevin and I balance each other so well we knew that it could only be from God. The irony of it all was that he is a soldier from the Chicago area and my family lives in MA. But he was stationed about an hour away from where I was attending college in PA. God brought us just close enough together and then used the Christian Dating site to bring us to meet each other. By April 2009 our parents loved each of us so much and what our relationship had become that they gave us permission to marry and so on July 11, 2009 Kevin and I committed our lives to one another as husband and wife. Kevin is 27 years old and I am 24 we do not know exactly what the Lord holds for us in the future but we know we are together in doing it...a woman who was a missionary kid and loves to travel and a man who is a soldier and won't be able to set down roots for more than five years...it was a match made in heaven. Jeff messaged me for the first time on June 30, 2009. He caught my attention by using part of a quote on my page that says "I'd do tea and crumpets on you doorstep if the opportunity arises." This first off made me laugh, but also showed me that he actually read through my entire page! So I contacted him back and we began talking that night. After and hour or so of sending messages we began instant messaging on the site and then after about a half hour later we traded aim screen names. He mentioned that he was in South Korea with the Army until Feb. 2010 which initially made me think it wasn't going to work, but we continued talking. After about 3 weeks I felt like I knew so much about Jeff and that I wanted to see where our relationship was going to lead. On Sept. 28th Jeff asked me to be his girlfriend and I of course said yes. Our relationship has been great so far, but definitely stressful being over 6000 miles apart. Our relationship has been very serious in talking about our future and it is very easy to see the possibility of marriage. However before then, we will need to meet in person. He will be back to the States in 88 days and we will be meeting on Valentines day weekend!

Here I am, after several failed attempts on other dating websites, joining another one called ChristianDatingForFree.com and filling out another profile. I prayed about it and wrote up what I thought was in my heart about what I was looking for in a friend and what I was looking for in a life partner.
I joined with the purpose of meeting someone to ultimately marry, it’s called “Dating with a purpose” and if you’re on this site thinking otherwise, then I’d pray about that. Naturally, since I believe the best foundation of any relationship is Friendship, I decided to choose that as my “Looking For” category. I wasn’t looking for a mail-order bride or a hook-up, there’s plenty of those on the other websites.
After praying about what to write, I decided to go with describing who I am in general, as a friend, and how I am or prefer to be as a life partner. I highly recommend that approach, personally, I know what I’m looking for and it would be refreshing to see the ingredients before tasting the soup.
Well, I left my browser open in the background for a while, logged in. I’m playing Farmville waiting for Star Trek to come on the tv and I begin to hear pop-ups being blocked. POP.. POP.. about a dozen or so before I switched over to see what was up. I thought they were ad’s being nuked until I saw in my mail that I had missed about a dozen chat requests, so I thought I’d allow pop-ups temporarily, a rare decision on my part. Next pop-up and there’s a chat window. Unexpected, but a pleasant surprise – I didn’t think the “Free” website would be so “Fully-Functional”. It was a lady named Erie, and we chatted for more than an hour, two I think – could be more.
We talked about our zest for life and our zeal for having a Christ First relationship, about our experiences with God’s work, changes in our lives that God brought us. I have to say, for the most part, the conversation was a praise to God, and it was awesome! Since then, we have continued to meet online, living states apart, but only an email away. Our conversations were filled with the spices of Christ and we even spend time sharing a chat session (on yahoo now) while sharing our favorite You-tube videos. Mostly gospel songs and services from favorite pastors. My favorites are Perry Noble, Stovall Weems…
We both developed a unique relationship through our words and wanted to hear each other’s voices.. We progressed to the phone and it was beautiful, still is. Her voice is like a violin to my ears. When she says my name, my heard goes ‘Thud”…

Joseph messaged me in the begining of may 2009. things started out really slow, just talking, and getting to know eachother. Im not sure how it happened for him, but almost overnight, the Lord began to show me feelings for him that i wasnt expecting. After 3 months of getting to know eachother by daily emails, and phone calls, he asked me out. to me, this was a WONDERFUL thing. Since distance is a factor, i wanted to know that he would be willing to commit to something, and he stepped up, and took on that challenge. lol! Since we live 1400 miles from eachother, planning a trip to see eachother is in the works. Its a little bit of a challenge, considering we are both in college, and he is in the military. But, with God\'s hand in all of it, i know it will happen.

I have traveled many miles with on line dating. Times were quite up then down. We all speak of honesty and our likes. We all have the weakness of asking without willing to sacrifice. When I first received a reply from this lady, I replied quickly. She did not reply for many days. This is the time I reflected on me. She did reply again, at this time I knew it was not about me and my desires. I listen with a open heart and willing spirit. I allowed the traits of proper and honest morals the take the lead in me knowing this. There is a special lady talking to me, I will be there for her, as she is for me.I asked her permission to ( as put in older times ) call on her. Me with pride of doubting thomas himself never tried to conceive such a thought.We spent the one day to with one another side by side. We seen the waterfalls, hike in the trails, laughed as she gave directions to this man in a new town. At times I felt many angels in heaven itself chuckled a time or two. At the end of the day dinner, as I sat across from her, I felt a welp of tears trying to form. I breathed deeply, looked at her radiant smile that dried them up, but I knew emptiness was coming back soon. She touched my hand, like Jesus would touch a rose pedal. She thanked me with a purity one could lose their breath in. We left together. I escorted her home, opened the door,as she stood I stepped back with knots in my throat. It was not fear because fear does not come from God. It was respect, the same feeling I will receive when I see the master. She Kissed me on the check, squeezed my hand gently, and I saw it.The one thing my father and father\\\\\\\'s spoke of decades before to me. As we stood side by side, there truly was a twinkle of a star in her left eye. I gave her a real quick kiss ( like that of a fourteen year old for the first time ) I stumbled, do not even remember opening the car door and drove away. It was overcome. I was not happy, nor was I sad. These emotions come and go with all these experiences. I was fulfilled and that took away my emptiness. She and I agreed to openly work to be of the same. I could have never received such a blessing without willing to go to the dance. No matter what is the distance, our really true heart\\\\\\\'s can not measure the miles. for the longest time i can remember i have been single. but when i came back to this site, i met a gorgeous, christian girl. and we hit it off right away and we started talking for about 1 month before i asked her what our relationship status was, she said that she was ready to move to beyond the friends stage if i was, but the the only catch was that God was number 1 in her life, i said He was also number 1 in my life. and so we became boyfriend and girlfriend last friday afternoon.

I had seen his picture come up on my search a few times before, but thought he wouldn\'t give my page a second look, so I kept searching. When I was seeking my future husband, I knew that he was not in my country, and that he would come from far. I live in France & don't speak english very much. So I prayed the Lord to give me a direction. One day I discover your website through Darlene Bishop's website ( because she came in my church in France) , so i say to me, why not ? But I didn't really believe that God could use this to lead me in his way. We want to share our story with all of you, because we feel God has done so much for us that we have to give to Him all Glory by sharing our story with all of you at CDFF. Also we want to encourage all who are in search of their ‘helpmate suitable’ to do so with God always present, knowing when ‘to hold and when to fold’.
So here it goes:
His story: I am now 31 years old. Before I met Aldonsa I was single for about 8 years. About 2 years or so before I signed up on this site, I felt a really strong desire to meet my partner. At the same time, at a Christian meeting over a weekend, after a service in which I prayed a lot and hard, I felt the strong desire to receive advice on what to do about this. I even wanted to approach a very specific person. Well, before I knew it, another person approached me. He certainly didn’t tell me what I expected. He said that I should look deeper into myself, to change my character to be able to receive the partner God has prepared for me. And so after many prayers and fasting, reading some books, I asked myself this question in January of 2008: “Who says there are no Christian single women on the net who look for the same as I am looking for?” And so I started the search on various Christian dating sites to see if God has someone for me on the world wide web.
At first I used a different site than this one. I got to know a few and even fell in love with one. I was surprised that even at Christian dating sites there are people with some hidden agenda, usually attached with money scams. The one I fell in love with was for a while very good to be with and seemed really special as we also shared scriptures and encouraged each other in that way. A few months after I met her I only found out she also had a hidden agenda. I know now if I wasn’t constantly in prayer and looking for God’s answer I would have fallen into her little ‘trap’. This is certainly a time where I have learned that even as Christians we fall, i.e. we make mistakes (I guess taking the risk of being on the net is opportunity enough to be making mistakes). But also I have learned that from falling, God picks us up and makes us even stronger than before.
So it was just a few weeks after that relationship I told myself I will continue the search on other sites and show the devil I will not be broken down by his little obstacles. That’s when I joined CDFF. I guess now God knew I was ready to meet my wife
Her story: I was single for 4 years. I have never tried internet dating sites. So it was my first time. I looked in other two Christian websites. In the first I didn’t find anyone. The second one was CDFF. At this point I told myself that I would certainly not find anyone. After praying and browsing I found this particular man who was form Namibia. A country that I never heard of in my entire life. Also I thought to myself that this just wasn’t the guy for me. Through the site we got to know each other better. After about one month of daily emailing through the site we fell in love. Three months later he came from Africa to the Dominican Republic to meet me in person for the first time. Here he met my family and we fell even more for each other.
Our story: Four months later God provided a job for Johannes here in the Dominican Republic so he could live and work here. The Lord made us so confident about how we felt for each other that we got engaged upon arrival of Johannes on the DomRep.
The wedding: A few months before the wedding we had already selected a place for the ceremony. We were just about to pay the deposit to the Hotel, when God convinced us that we really cannot have the wedding at that venue. With a lot more prayer and really submitting to God’s will, He very soon brought people across our paths to help us. Friends and strangers. We changed the venue one month before the wedding and now had to plan everything on our own, since the other venue had provided a wedding planner and all other services.
Glory be to God for sure for the way he made this wedding happen. How he was able to bring three different nations together and make it such a special event for everyone. Our two families also are very close with each other.
God also moved among the people through this time and showed His love to everyone who called on Him. We feel very honored to be His children and to be experiencing all this.
We wish all of you searchers God’s grace and guidance. Understand that it is ok to fall, God uses these situations for us to grow closer to Him and to carve us so we may be ready to receive HIS PROMISE for us.

It all started with the emails then the meeting face to face. Everything went perfectly, we got along great and have fun just being with each other :) The only problem was the distance between us, he lived in New York and I live in Pittsburgh, PA. We fell in love with one another, and being apart was killing us. So when I went to visit him and meet his family he proposed to me on the beach and has since then moved to Pittsburgh! Our wedding date is Oct.9th, 2009. We are so happy together and cant thank Christian Dating For Free enough :D

As a shy man, more specifically: a minister, I was always a social anomaly. I have more friends and acquaintances than any man could ask for... but I was longing for a companionship that only a relationship can bring. After several unsuccessful attempt locally, I decided to try online. Facebook and MySpace weren't quite what I was looking for... Several other sites had seemingly compatible matches, but I had to pay up to $30 a month to communicate... Admittedly, my budget would allow for that. So, I was excited to find this site. I found many beautiful Christian women here from all over the country and even the world, but one stood out from the rest and she's only about an hour away...
We're not oblivious that there are challenges in relationships, but we further know that God "is able to exceedingly, abundantly, above all we can ask or think, according to the power that's already working in us..." (Eph. 3: 20)

I have always been skeptical of online dating, but I decided to trust in GOD to guide me in the search for love. I had someone contact me on here who really caught my attention but I was hesitant to contact him. I prayed and knew then that it was okay to exchange numbers with this man. I have only been in here for a couple of weeks..tried so many sites over the past little while....not sure why this one is so special and anointed...
Anyway, I've IM'd a few men and prayed for some, ministered to and with some...nothing special. Then one evening, I saw a profile that stood out -- almost jumped off the page! IM'd him and have enjoyed getting to know him in the last little while. Think he is "the ONE"!!
