I teach at the high school level and LOVE it. I am presently pursuing my master's degree. In my spare time, I love to quilt. I am a self-admitted fabric-aholic and have no desire to be healed of this affliction. Rest assured that any man that becomes a significant part of my life will benefit.
I struggle with what to say here. I guess my life can be summed up by the word "complicated."
I married a widower with 5 children ages 10-18. A few years later, we brought another young man into the family. My husband died just after our nine-year anniversary. I now have 6 children, 4 daughters-in-law, and 5 grandchildren. I don't come with baggage. I come with accessories that brings along great joy and at times, great chaos.
I would like to be with a guy who shows affection in little ways, like an email or text just to make me smile or by leaving me a note. I would like to be with someone that can offer a soft place to fall. A sense of humor is essential. I love holding hands and being close to someone. I would strive to be a helpmate, encourager, and supporter.
God created me the way that I am. I wasn't designed to be arm candy so if you're looking for tall, thin, and beautiful, I'm not the person for you. I can only offer beauty that comes from the heart and soul.
My faith has been an integral part of my life for as long as I can remember. Although it took quite a hit after my husband died, God has remained faithful. I am excited to see what direction He has planned for my life.
First Date
I think a first date should last about 12 1/2 minutes. Then start over and have the second date. First dates are too awkward.
