About Me
I am a new nurse(about 1 year) who has up till now focused on school, work and helping to take care of my family; the youngest is special needs. I am now waiting (rather impatiently) for the LORD to give me the desire of my heart, to be a wife and mother. I have to say that I'm just a little nervous/embarressed at doing this online thing. But as a friend told me,"sometimes you have to pull a Ruth", ie, place yourself in places where GOD can work. If you like what you see, keep reading......
I am the oldest of 4; 2 boys, 2 girls. Me26, B25, G18, B7. My parents are still married after 27 years and raised me in a loving, Christian home. I was homeschooled and raised very conservitavly and have a deep and personal love of the LORD. I accepted Christ as my Savior when I was 5 and have(do) strive to place him first in my life. I am a firm believer in the man as the head and leader of the home who consideres the thoughts and feelings of his Beloved; for they become one flesh. Children are a blessing and heritage intrusted into our care for a season to "B(ring) up in the nurture and admonition of the LORD".
Family is everything and I take very seriously my role as a daughter/grandaughter/friend and someday wife/mother. I am very loyal, some might say to a fault. I am very laid back and have been told I have "a sweet and quiet spirit". I love to laugh and do so often. I feel no shame in showing or sharing my joy and sense of humor. I try very hard to always look on the bright side.
I tend to have what might be considered ecclectic tastes/interests but I think it just makes me well rounded. I can go backpacking, make cookies with the kids, spend the day at the museum or ballet or cuddle up with my sweetie for a night of popcorn and old movies and be quite happy with any of them. I am VERY touchy and show my love and affection accordingly.
I am very adaptable and enjoy travel. My father was career Navy and several other men in my family are/have been in the military. I can flex and improvise with the best of them.
I have never dated or been in a serious relationship. but I want to seriously explore the possablity. Doing the online thing is hard for me and is atypical of my views of M/F relationships. In seeking a friend/partner on this site I may look at a profile but am not likely to wink or email until the man shows some innitiative first. If you are interested in what you see, please act with prayer. I seek the desire of my heart but only in the LORDs timing.
First Date
First of all I would have to say that depends. If he and I lived fairly close I would say something to the effect at one of our churches or a family gathering. If one of us was going to have to travel a ways then perhaps for lunch or something. For me the biggest things are safety and my testimony. I really could care less about how much we spend or what we do as long as it's enjoyed by both. I expect to be treated like a Lady and the daughter of The King. Respect, honor, truthfulness, ect. these have to be a part of any date or relationaship. I won't settle for less.
