I am writing this on an evening when I am feeling especially alone. I am loved by family and friends and I am told that I am fun to be with but on a practical level, there don't seem to be many people around here for me to do things with. Yes, I am almost 66 but most of my friends are in their 50's. I am able to fly all over the world with little or no cost. I am hoping and praying that I can use this perk to help others - perhaps missionary kids. I am going to be spending 3 months in Africa in 2010 if I can get everything together.(funds and improved health).
My relationship to Jesus takes first place in my life. I am learning about coming to God for the relationship with Him and not for His blessings. Emphasis learning.
First Date
I am terrified at the thought of a first date. I guess I would like it to be in a group of friends so that the stress is shared among friends. I go to a Christian Camp in N.Hampshire and that would be an ideal place to meet.
As much as I know "everyone is doing it" I find myself rejecting the idea of online dating. I would like to slowly get to know a number of people. Have someone to talk to and perhaps eventually do things with.
