I'm a pretty laid-back type of gal. Enjoy good conversation, time with friends, Bible study, attending church, learning, trying new foods, meeting people, working out. Power walking is my favorite form of exercise. I'd like to do some hiking. I really haven't had a lot of opportunity to explore all this wonderful world has to offer. But my son is now grown and I'm in a transition period it seems. I'm excited for what the future holds.
I just came home from about 7 weeks in Florida. I was helping to care for my father who is terminally ill. He was put into full time hospice care so I came home to MN to get caught up at work and spend some time with my son. I'm sure I will be returning to Florida in the not-too-distant future.
I'm hoping to find a man who loves the Lord and understands what it is to live his faith. That doesn't mean you're perfect. It means we are both a work in progress and working toward the same thing -- to know Him better and to serve Him together.
My home is about 50 miles west of Minneapolis on a lake. The sunset picture was taken from my deck. Breath-taking, isn't it? Beautiful as it is, I'm finding that my surroundings are a bit too secluded given my ... singleness. It's a great place for a couple, but a little remote for someone alone. I considered moving closer to Minneapolis (I grew up in Bloomington) a couple years ago but my house wasn't selling as that's when the bottom fell out of the real estate market. Guess God had different plans for me. So ... I'm practicing "waiting on the Lord". And practicing ... and practicing.
First Date
Lunch, a walk, the zoo, a flea market. Just a chance to get to know each other. Nothing fancy. Well ... I guess I don't want to shoot myself in the foot here. Fancy is fine. But not necessary!!!
