I am an optimist and I love to make other people smile; an encourager by nature, I truly love and care for just about everyone! I am always smiling and laughing and I love life and strive to live it to the fullest. A wise professor once told me that there are five Gospel accounts in this world- Matthew, Mark, Luke, John and the lives of believers. Sadly, many people will only read the last of these accounts. It is my hope to best represent my Lord and Savior in a world that is desperate for his love and salvation. I feel that people should be measured by the goodness of their hearts, not their appearance or possessions. I am passionate about community outreach. I received a BA in Psychology and BS in Bible and Theology from William Jessup University in 2009. I love school and I take great pleasure in learning. I am currently a doctoral student in Clinical Psychology. In the next five years I hope to receive my PsyD, open my own practice and teach at the University level. Listening and learning from other people always makes my day! I believe that everyone is important and has something positive to contribute to society. I feel strongly that it is not only through adamant perseverance and conscientious effort that one might achieve all of their goals; more importantly, it is through the humbling of oneself and the realization that it is only by Christ that one might walk on water. I love working with children, and currently work as a Behavioral Therapist with children with Autism and Developmental Disabilities. I love to write and would someday like to write children's books and books on grief counseling with children. I am also passionate about training service animals to work with people with disabilities and am a board member for a non profit organization placing service dogs with children with Autism. I believe that children deserve to be children-- to giggle, play and make mistakes without being forced to grow up too soon. I am passionate about music and I love to sing; I have been classically trained and enjoy performing jazz music and in musical theatre productions.
