About Me
My mother died when I was only 3months old.Being the youngest in the family, I know how it is to be pampered and it led to my being a young achiever, the pride of my family.
My father who scolded my siblings even if I was at fault died in 1988. I suddenly felt I had no ally.My siblings have their own families and I could no longer run to my friends for comfort because they also got married... (Guys, don't spoil your children because you will not be around forever!)
I was vulnerable then but God is good. A lady Christian friend and her family welcomed me to their house . I went with them to their church and got exposed to God's Word.Then, I surrendered everything to God and accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior.
II CORINTHIANS 1:3 is a reminder that God allows problems so that we can comfort others with the comfort we received from Him.
PHILIPPIANS 4:11 I have learned to be content with whatever the circumstances.
JEREMIAH 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
I still struggle but that only happens when I take my eyes off the Lord. I try to sing Christian songs whenever I feel lonely to comfort and remind myself who God is... that He is in control and in Him there is victory. I also seek trusted Christian friends to pray with but they are not always available.
To grow spiritually, I read the Bible , Daily Bread other Christian books,attend midweek prayer meetings and also prayer fellowships. I usually have my daily devotion or quiet time with the Lord early in the morning. I still watch TV but find myself switching to the ministries of Joyce Meyer, Charles Stanley, or the CreationScapes on TV(music video with verses).
I can strum the guitar and play a little of organ but without the chords on the songs, I can't be a good accompanist... I am fond of sports except boxing and wrestling because God's word revealed to me that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit.
Now,I serve the Lord as a regular Church Usher and I'm also active in the Ladies Ministry. God is my provider.The opportunities to attend the conferences at Thailand (2005) and Malaysia (2008) which enabled me to appreciate and pray for foreign missions were among my answered prayers.Those trips challenged and inspired me to start involving myself in local evangelism.
Lastly, I feel I am going ahead of God's plan but who knows if my discovery of CDFF is really His will? Honestly,I long for intimacy and a lifetime prayer partner. I would appreciate it if you would consider coming for a short visit because I don't think online dating is enough.
So,if you put God first in your life and admit that you are only a steward of what God has entrusted upon you, then that would be a good start for us to know and start praying for one another, don't you think so?
We only have one life and it will soon pass, only what's done for Christ will last.
