I am a mature, loving, Christian woman interested in finding a Christian gentleman with whom I could establish a meaningful long term relationship leading to matrimony.
I have three adult children of whom, I immensely proud. My eldest, a son, is a truck driver, and has been married now for eleven years.
My middle child, a daughter, has also been married for eleven years, and has two children, ages 7 and 4. She is successful in her career as a mineral researcher.
My youngest, a daughter, is only twenty four, and still single. She has a great passion for the poor and has traveled to Africa twice. She serves God as a missionary to orphaned children. Presently, she is employed in this country as a nanny, for a nurse who has two young children. My daughter’s goal is to save enough money to return to Africa and live there permanently. Her dream is to open an orphanage for children with AIDS. She has spent nearly a year in Africa and has developed very strong bonds with many children and their families. We all support her and are very proud of her choice to sacrifice her life here in America to give back to those in need. I always knew that she would serve God in a very special way, from before her birth. She is a strong, powerful, woman of faith and absolutely afraid of nothing. She will not hesitate to speak her mind in a blunt fashion. She once told me, she became who she is, because of my faith and how I raised her.
I have a different personality than any of my children, but the same river runs deep in all of us, so to speak. I am a much quieter individual and many people have told me I am a sweet and gentle soul. I have spent most of my life behind the scene, keeping a home and caring for my family. I am content to allow other to have the spotlight. Since I have been on my own, I have worked as a personal care worker and nurse’s aide. I then attended Nursing school in Florida, but I ultimately decided the riggers of nursing (although I have the heart) was not my calling. My salary is less, but now I work various positions in a travel plaza on the PA turnpike. It is interesting because I meet so many different nationalities.
I love to socialize and entertain. I also enjoy going to church, and reading and studying the bible. My hobbies are: sewing, knitting, crocheting, embroidering and playing the piano. I always loved in to sing with my girls on long car rides. Now I have two grandchildren I enjoy, but there is still something missing in my life. It is hard to go home at night to my empty apartment at night, with only my faithful old dog to greet me at the door. Although, my constant companion and friend, we both miss the hustle and bustle that was once my household. I find I spend many lonely hours in front of the TV. I yearn for companionship with someone who would value and appreciate the person I truly am. I would enjoy spending time with someone who really enjoyed my company.
I am an intelligent and enjoy a stimulating conversation. I enjoy learning new things. The history channel is my favorite station on TV. Science interests me, Im intrigued by the stars and the heavens, also geology and the study of the oceans. I like to learn about different cultures and would love to be able to travel overseas someday. |
