About Me
I am a funny, sweet, caring, music breathing, unique Jesus loving woman. I am not your typical girl (never will be) and I am very proud of it. Just because something is popular or a trend does not mean I will like it...actually, I probably won't like it. I have my own style and defnitely do not look to others for approval...the only one that I try to please is my Lord and Savior, Jesus...He is the substance of my life. I am a very happy person, love to have fun, laugh and absolutely enjoy my life! When it comes to the issue of my faith, I believe that it is about a personal relationship with my savior and not "religion"! I go to church each week, but it is not just a Sunday thing...it is a daily part of my lifestyle. No, I absolutely am not perfect, for I am human....but, I try to live my life to be the most pleasing to God as possible, but unfortunately I at times fail....I just get back up and move on.
Music is a VERY important part of my life. Next to my relationship with Jesus, I absolutely could NOT live without it. I like a vast range of genres from classical to screamo, but listen mainly to rock and alternative. I "play" the guitar and keyboard...I have that in quotes because I am still teaching myself...any teachers available? :wink: I used to be a DJ for a Christian Rock show on a secular station and miss it very much.
Another thing that is very important to me is bettering my life physically. I have now gotten to the point where I workout every single day. Not everyday is a rigorous exercise routine, but some days I might do a 13+ mile/8 hour hike in the mountains or walk/jog about the same on a trail. I have worked very hard to better myself and lose a lot of weight, so I need someone that isn't going to just sit on their duff all day long :o) Don't get me wrong, I like to just chill too and don't mind doing that as long as I get my activity in too.
I LOVE food...more importantly fresh, good quality food that is properly seasoned and prepared. I am more into the gourmet food, but something cooked and seasoned perfectly is MUCH better than a poorly cooked/seasoned very expensive meal. I have started eating a lot of organic and more natural food and don't really eat much processed junk at all.
Some other things that are definitely of my interest are photography (I always have a camera with me) and traveling. I have been to many areas out of the country and would love to travel around the world with the person that God brings into my life.
For work, I am a band chef and contracted personal chef. I work at a music venue and cook for different artists based on their various needs. My dream is to travel around the world with a band as their chef. I've actually been talking to a few bands about this...so, we'll see...that is all in God's hands.
I am definitely into the freedom of expression. I currently have 8 tattoos (most of them quite large) and 18 piercings. I am going to start one of my "sleeves" within a few months...I already have it designed. I like many different things and willing to try almost anything once. :o) I can be very spontaneous and love doing different things. I recently did 3 bungee jumps...one of which was at the world's first site in New Zealand.
I am looking to develop a friendship first and it is up to God whether anything further develops or not. I seek to have my eyes totally focused on God and doing His will in my life. I am not lonely/unhappy and therefore trying to fill a void here. I am looking for a very unique, adventureous, fun, honest, caring, sweet, compassionate, loving man. This person will be my best friend and will be able to make me smile or laugh just by looking at me or the thought of him...even when I may not want to. He must have a great sense of humor, love to have a great time/live life, love music, be happy and seek after God...being interested in tattoos would be a great thing too. :o)
I definitely don't look my age and noone has ever guessed it. I typically get guessed to be about 10 years younger than I am. I have a very youthful heart/appearance and most of my friends are younger than I am because I typically get along better with them.
First Date
Something fun and unique...not the cliche "dinner and a movie" date...BORING! Something that would requires thought and enable us to talk and get to know each other. Going to a place where we could just have fun, laugh and be ourselves is ideal. A concert would definitely be a fun date, but I am not so sure about a first date because you would not be able to talk to each other and get to know one another.
This probably wouldn't be something for a first date unless you had been talking for a while, but if we were going to do the whole "dinner" thing (hey, we do have to eat, right?)...I would prefer cooking dinner together and then going for a sunset picnic.
