Hi my name is Paula. I've been a believer now for six years and I love and live life for my Lord Jesus. The Lord has blessed me with not having to submit to an ungodly husband and I'm divorced now. While I am very happy and content with my life the way it is, I've been waiting for the Lord to provide the right male christian companionship. Recently I realized I've been wandering the desert in that area and then I thought 'even Jesus went to the lake to catch fish' so I figured I'd try this website and throw out a line!
I don't have a lot of free time for idle chit chat via email or IM so maybe I'll be a little more descriptive about myself here than what's typical. I'm an ambitious independent Spirit led woman. Yet casual, easy going, and fun loving. I don't like alot of foo foo girlie stuff so if you're attracted to demure extra feminine kind of girls I probably wasn't created for you. I'm a humble thrifty sort of gal and tend not to hang out with indiscriminately spendy trendy flashy folk. I'm fairly mechanically inclined and like tinkering in the shop. I don't have a problem changing my own oil or brake pads. I'm not afraid to open the computer and install a slave drive or upgrade the processor. I'd rather refinish a book shelf than scrapbook anyday!
I work with troubled children, youth, and their families that are "in the system". I counsel and do case work and also host foster children in my home from toddlers to teens for respite care. Although I love my job I am becoming ever increasingly frustrated with the secular liberal social psycho-babble therapy ((c r a p)) approach to treatment. These broken families need the deliverance and saving grace of God in their lives and my employer forbids me from speaking my faith ((grrrrr!)) I would seriously consider quiting and doing full time ministry if the right opportunity ever arises.
I have two boys and am lucky to be their mom. A teenager that's into music, singing, plays, and forensics. He placed at a state forensics meet doing a prose reading of God questioning Job in Job 38-41. Yay! My preteen does wrestling, karate, and skateboarding. He tells kids on the playground about God and prays for them and heals them! Praise God!
While I am willing to be friends and have coffee with most anyone I've been pretty picky when it comes to sizing up a potential mate. I'm discouraged by all of the nominal compromising christians I see. So if you are a bondage ridden mediocre "christian" thanks for you consideration... but no... I can pray for you. Seriously some of you just need to man up and walk the crucified life the Lord has called you to! I am looking for a bold apostolic evangelistic Spirit filled man to cherish and honor. A guy that has a biblical worldview and lives it. He must love his Creator and Savior and be willing to pour himself out for the Kingdom of God!! A handy rugged outdoorsy "bad boy gone good" type would be cool cuz I have a strong inclination to do biker ministy - (plus I really don't want to be more mechanically inclined than you! haha) ;-). Prison and homeless ministries are strong runner ups. I volunteer at a homeless shelter when I can and have connections with Impact for Life Daughters of Destiny prison outreach and feel led to step out and serve in that ministry. The ministry the Lord lays on your heart would be of utmost importance also. I really don't have any other aspirations for my life except to serve and worship God and defeat the enemy every opportunity that arises.
