In Corinthians, the Bible says do not be equally yoked with non believers. What relationship has light with darkness.

Non believers are those who havent accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour.

When couple both have a foundation in Christ, their relationship, marriage will be much better together.

In 2nd Cor. 6:14 the answer is much stronger than cupcake replied , for it says that believers are to have NOTHING to do with the wicked , worthless people of darkness . NO marriage , friendships , contracts of any kind .

Please do some research on the word believe has many definitions and back in the day of Jesus they used it as another word for obey. You must discern these things and figure out when it means obey or when it just means to know something or just believe someone.



Example of when it is "just believe"



James 2:19

You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder.



Here in John 3:36 some translations use believe and some use obey or disobey back then it was treated as similar words or interchangeable



ESV John 3:36



Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.

True Christians believe and obey that is what separates them from the demons and non believers.



Truth is if you believe Jesus then you would do what he says.
