"The drugs of an era can often mirror the times people live in.

The 1960s, with its mind-altering lysergic acid (LSD) echoed the remoulding of politics and protest. The 1980s embodied enormous growth and full-throttle capitalism, so cocaine was a natural choice.

So what is the drug of the 21st century?

‘We’re accelerating into a 24/7 society,’ says Sahakian.

‘When people want to take a smart drug and cognitively enhance themselves, it’s usually in the context of what we call cold cognition.

‘They want to remember more, they want to do better in the exam, they want to be able to produce better, faster work than their colleagues.

‘But nobody really says “I’d like to improve my heart cognition, my emotional and social skills”, which is so important for bringing people together.’

And people don’t often realize there’s a cheap, drug-free way of making you smarter: exercise."

The drugs that are most popular at a point in time mirror the traits of the dominant Culture of that time.

If it is true that the most popular drugs of our time now in 2016-2020 are used to enhance "cold cognition" and not "emotional and social skills, " then this choice explains in part at least why Internet dating sites that appear to make a lot of money charging people for an opportunity to make contact with members of the opposite sex are so popular now. It may also help explain why the American birth rate has dropped below the replacement level, especially on the East Coast and on the West coast.

There is probably a correlation between widespread use of "cold cognition memory enhancing drugs" and a dysfunctional heterosexual relationship. Remember that the LGBT or Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender movement as part of the present day American Left, Transformational Marxism. Socialist or Communist movement is going on stronger in states on the Northeast Coast and in California, Oregon and Washington. The LGBT Movement also undermines the heterosexual relationship in America. And it lowers the birth rate below the 2.1 rate of children per woman needed to maintain the current US population.

"The “replacement” fertility rate of 2.1, enough to renew the population, is typically viewed as the optimal level for stability. But in 2017, the total fertility rate, or number of births each woman is expected to have in her childbearing years, dropped to 1.76 in the US. By 2018, it declined again — to 1.72, another record low. “The rate has generally been below replacement since 1971 and consistently below replacement for the last decade,” the new CDC report,"
