When did Peter begin to understand Grace and Faith, was it while Messiah was with him and the other disciples, No.

Maybe after Messiah had been resurrected, No, How about being in the upper room, No.

Hmm, could it have been after the Holy Spirit had come upon those in the room, No, What about the first time Peter had spoken Acts 2,No; So when did Peter begin to understand Grace and Faith.

Peter did not begin to understand Grace and Faith until after the Holy Spirit had come upon him, and empowered Peter while he was with Cornelius Acts 10, before this Peter wanted to continue to live according to the LAW, does anyone remember the conversation Peter had with Messiah while he was on a rooftop, Acts 10 verses 9 - 16

9 The next day at about the sixth hour, as the men were approaching the city on their journey, Peter went up on the roof to pray.

10 He became hungry and wanted something to eat, but while the meal was being prepared, he fell into a trance.

11 He saw heaven open and something like a large sheet being let down to earth by its four corners.

12 It contained all kinds of four-footed animals and reptiles of the earth, as well as birds of the air.

13 Then a voice said to him: “Get up, Peter, kill and eat!”

14 “No, Lord!” Peter answered. “I have never eaten anything impure or unclean.”

15 The voice spoke to him a second time: “Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.”

16 This happened three times, and all at once the sheet was taken back up into heaven.

After Peter had seen the Holy Spirit upon the Gentiles ( The unclean ones ),did Peter had a different outlook towards those that are not Jews, and then he was beginning to understand Grace and Faith in Messiah.

Acts 10 verses 44 - 48

44 While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all who heard his message.

45 All the circumcised believers who had accompanied Peter were astounded that the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out even on the Gentiles.

46 For they heard them speaking in tongues and exalting God. Then Peter said, 47“Can anyone withhold the water to baptize these people? They have received the Holy Spirit just as we have!”

48 So he ordered that they be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they asked him to stay for a few days.

When does Peter begin to proclaim Grace thru Faith, we read this in Acts 15 verse 1 - 11

1 Some men came down from Judea and [began] teaching the brethren, "Unless you are circumcised according to the custom of Moses, you cannot be saved."

2 And when Paul and Barnabas had great dissension and debate with them, [the brethren] determined that Paul and Barnabas and some others of them should go up to Jerusalem to the apostles and elders concerning this issue.

3 Therefore, being sent on their way by the church, they were passing through both Phoenicia and Samaria, describing in detail the conversion of the Gentiles, and were bringing great joy to all the brethren.

4 When they arrived at Jerusalem, they were received by the church and the apostles and the elders, and they reported all that God had done with them.

5 But some of the sect of the Pharisees who had believed stood up, saying, "It is necessary to circumcise them and to direct them to observe the Law of Moses."

6 The apostles and the elders came together to look into this matter.

7 After there had been much debate, Peter stood up and said to them, "Brethren, you know that in the early days God made a choice among you, that by my mouth the Gentiles would hear the word of the gospel and believe.

8 "And God, who knows the heart, testified to them giving them the Holy Spirit, just as He also did to us;

9 and He made no distinction between us and them, cleansing their hearts by faith.

10 "Now therefore why do you put God to the test by placing upon the neck of the disciples a yoke which neither our fathers nor we have been able to bear?

11 "But we believe that we are saved through the grace of the Lord Jesus, in the same way as they also are."

Grace is not an undeserved gift as the people have been told for years, Grace is the power of GOD.

Let's use both definitions is a sentence, how about Ephesians chapter 2 verses 5 - 10

5 When we were dead in our sins, he gave us life together with The Messiah, and by his (UNDESERVED GIFT ) grace he saved us.

6 And he has raised us up with him and seated us with himself in Heaven in Yeshua The Messiah,

7 To show the coming ages the greatness of the riches of his grace and his sweetness, which has come upon us by Yeshua The Messiah.

8 For it is by his ( UNDESERVED GIFT )grace that we have been saved through faith, and this faith was not from you, but it is the gift of God,

9 Not of works, lest anyone should boast.

10 For we are his creatures who are created in Yeshua The Messiah for good works, those things which God had from the first prepared that we should walk in them.

5 When we were dead in our sins, he gave us life together with The Messiah, and by his (POWER)grace he saved us.

6 And he has raised us up with him and seated us with himself in Heaven in Yeshua The Messiah,

7 To show the coming ages the greatness of the riches of his grace and his sweetness, which has come upon us by Yeshua The Messiah.

8 For it is by his ( POWER ) grace that we have been saved through faith, and this faith was not from you, but it is the gift of God,

9 Not of works, lest anyone should boast.

10 For we are his creatures who are created in Yeshua The Messiah for good works, those things which God had from the first prepared that we should walk in them.
