Beware of Scams

If a person...

* Won't talk on the phone or video phone

* Won't share photos

* Mentions anything about inheritance money

* Uses an app called "Text Now"

* Gets angry or sad if you ask them if they are a scammer

* Is too good to be true

Then they are a fake profile and a con artist. Don't be fooled. Thankfully I have not lost any money to these thieves but they seem to be all over free dating sites. Report them if you suspect they are fake.

Remember to always look up photos with an image search engine such as tineye. I'm surprised how many photos are of prostitutes from porn sites.

Be careful everyone and God bless.

Welcome back to the forum Krist.

Yes, those are very good points to watch for. God gives us wisdom, so let's use it properly. Scammers can target somewhat naïve Christian men and women who just started online dating.

On a funny note, I have used Textnow before and was eventually blocked. My reasoning to share my Textnow number was because I did not trust the person as they expressed attraction to the LDS church. I only wanted to continue communication at a friendship level to share biblical values that seemed not to be taught at the pulpit.

Some women do use Textnow due to stalking from thirsty men. You'll have to use discernment on that one.

There a many Men scammers on here I encountered after first joining here.

I asked if they were a scammer, they got very offended.

One guy said I was the scammer!

I'm definitely not and I don't go off site quick like many do.

I've had several chats with Real guys also.

If you're going to date online you have to have your wits about you.

I always conduct all communication via the site in the first instance, because cdff are on the ball &@ you're talking to a scammer they'll quickly be banned.

I always do an image search and often find that profile pics have been lifted from someone else's social media page...:-)
