Christian pacifism and female self defence

The international day of the woman has passed, many women pointed out that violence against females is still an issue and nothing changed since this day.

What can we do as christians?

a) Should be put pressure on the government to make new laws?

b) Should we send our daughters and wives to self defence courses with human dummy?
