I have heard that Billy Graham said that the greatest mission field is the American church. What are your thoughts?

US-BRITAIN are the biggest Mission fields!

THE COMING ISLAMIC THREAT:devil:

I do believe USA & BRITAIN are the biggest mission fields at present! Billy Graham said it with the power of the Holy Spirit!

Let us take it as a challenge and pray for the revival and evangelism in US and Britain!

Islamic influence in US & Britain

In view of the above it should not surprise us to find considerable Islamic influence in US & Britain today. This influence is inevitably going to effect the political environment and policies followed by US & Britain governments.

It must be remembered that Islam was the majority religion in the British Empire, and when Britain brought these colonials into its cities and began to pursue a multicultural path, and then the social character of the country was bound to change. This was compounded by the simple fact that immigrants did not integrate with the indigenous population, adopting its values, cultural traditions or religious background-they kept their own customs and in many cases lived under a self imposed form of apartheid. In other words they remained socially segregated and formed their own communities. Is it not true in America even? What happen to Michael Jackson converting to Islam?

About half of Britains Islamic population today originated from Pakistan and Bangladesh. The rest is made up largely of Indians and Arabs. The first to settle in Britain were from Yemen-as long as the turn of the century, and it was at about that time that Britains mainly protestant Christians began to lose faith in their own religious belief.Darwinsm and Biblical criticism undermined the very basis of religious belief. Is it not true even in US? How many books are written glorifying the Deity of Christ and how many books are written debating the doctrinal/denominational variances? How much time is wasted discussing the doctrinal differences rather than glorifying Christ and his word and evangelism? (I Tim 6:3-6; 2 Tim 4:5) People require simple gospel and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ! People dont require debates doctrinal fighting!

Today! Practicing Moslems are far more active than practicing Anglicans-and may well outnumber them. The English landscape once dominated by churches and cathedrals has been replaced by one that is strewn by mosques. Islam may still be a minority in the big and largely secular picture-but it is a significant minority often driven with devotion and zeal.

Islamic Terror::yay:

We must recognize the fact that not all Islamic people are disposed towards the use of violence, but experience is a great teacher, and problems are rarely solved by ignoring them. It is not so much that Islamic extremists do commit acts of terror, but that their coreligionists usually say little and do even less to prevent them, or ring them to justice.

How many Moslem nations whole-heartedly condemned the terrorist attacks on Sep 11th attack on world trade centre.Presdent Bush is blamed being a war criminal but see the results the democratic freedom in Afghanistan and Iraq. Taliban was wiped out freedom for evangelism is possible only by fighting against terrorism!

In the book preachers of Hate by Kenneth R.Thimmerman discusses the terrorism and the mindset that lies behind it. He claims that part of the problem is the refusal of western governments and the media to face up to the reality and depth of an unreasonable and ferocious hatred-hatred rooted n Anti-Semitism.

Timmerman quotes the words of the Islamic scholar al-mawdudui (1903-1979).

The Islamic party does not hesitate to utilize the means of war to implement its goal. Islam seeks the world>it is not satisfied by a piece of land but demands the whole universe

Timmerman wrtes:In London at an anniversary celebration of 9/11 attacks, I watched his followers at the radical fins bury park mosque hang banners proclaiming Islam will dominate the world while vowing to transform Britain into an Islamic Republic.

Later in the book he quotes the words of Londons Omar Bakri Mohammed: There are twenty- six million Muslims in Europe. In the UK alone we have 385 fundamentalist organizations. We form a fifth column, and will create chaosMuslims n Britain want to change society, to make the Islamic flag fly over Downing Street

Following the 9/11 US President George Bush appeared to wake up to reality for a moment. He declared war on terrorism, refused to deal any longer with the then PLO leader Yasser Arafat, and even demonstrated some support for Israel. I believe that President George Bush war on terrorism must be replaced by every Christian as a challenge for world evangelism. Who are these terrorists these terrorists came as immigrants to US and started destroying the wealth and blessings of US? Do Christians keep quiet watching all this nonsense like a terrific Hollywood movie or take it as a challenge to evangelize the corrupted minds of this people. Rather than mass evangelism, personal evangelism is more effective. After 9/11 attacks former president Bush formed an alliance with Britain and overran Afghanistan, failed to apprehend Osama Bib-laden but went on to remove sad dam Hussein from power, bringing virtual civil war to Iraq.

Nations that forget God:

Once an evangelist Reinhard Bonnke said like this The church that doesnt seek the lost is lost itself. Is it not true how many lost are in the US and Britain today. Is there no need for mission in the US.I strongly believe my Brothers and sisters US is a big mission field nowadays. WE& Britain is slowly degenerating from its first love. There was no power to convert the potential immigrants, demonstrating that the Bible-Not the Koran-comprises the word of the Living God. The faith of Britain (such as it was), was not destroyed by Islam-but by the theories of evolution and much Biblical criticism and useless debate on doctrinal theories. I have seen a church of England Bishop coming to India in Chennai last year worshipped the Idol Ganesha and proclaimed that man can see God in all the forms in creation.Oh! What a pity on this reverend of the Church of England showing his reverence to god by worshipping an idol! Added to that there was the advance of humanist philosophy which recognized no god at all, other than man himself. All this brought the so-called permissive society as a step toward the totally immoral one of today. This rejection of Bible-based values has brought violence, greed, abuse, the tragedy of broken families, unhappiness and tears.

So my dear brothers and sisters let us children of God turn with a humble heart of repentance for the World evangelism. Let us pray regularly for the world evangelism (Matt 28:18-20; ITim2:1-4).

When thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness (Isa 26:9).Let us remember that no country is 100% Christian and 100% evangelized. Evangelism is a continuous process, it has to continue regularly!

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand n the evil day and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness. And having shod your feet with preparation of Gospel of Peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication n the spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints. Amen

Hello everyone:

I agree, the church is not the mission field, yet many men that assume themselves to be pastor-elder-teacher.

When they are to be teaching the people, what they are really doing is evangeilzing everyone.

They say bring your unsaved friends to church(the building).

The purpose of our meeting together is to worship Yeshua, and from the body of believers(not just those that assume the title of being a leader)there should be the recognition of the calling and gifting of the entire body.

This is why the Priesthood of Believers and Plurality of Elders is necessary and Biblical.

I would say that the average Christian in America may not understand what Missionaries are or do.

Most have heard of short term missions trips(really vacations),yet the real Missionaries of old gave their lives to be with the people of other nations, they were empowered by the Holy Spirit to serve, and make disciples of.

Some of the biggest missions fields are our own neighborhoods.

Most people that want to go on short ( Vacations)missions trips, they have not first gone into their own neighborhoods,or their own families,or place where they work.

If the average Christian in America were to witness to 2 people a week, how many people would be hearing the Gosple each year.

Yet alas,we have much fear within the body, and we do not witness.

Instead of sending people overseas, why don't we send them out into the highways and byways, into the neighborhoods, schools, anywhere there are people.

Yet who am I,I just drive a truck,i'm a nobody to the world and the church.

Yet to Yeshua,i am an adopted son of the Most High God.

Please pray for this nation, that the Lord will raise up men which are filled and led of the Holy Spirit.

These men will teach the body of Yeshua who the Lord is and what He is like.

These men will teach the people the principles of biblical Eldership and the Priesthood of believers

These men will teach the people how to read the word of God,and the doctrines of our faith in Yeshua.

These men will not be doing this for money, benefits,

power, position, nor for any other reason, but to make know

the gospel of Yeshua.

These men themselves would be witnesses of Yeshua:

Acts 1:8.

I hope that everyone will be Blessed in irder to be a Blessing to those around them.

Agape' and Shalom

Brother Tucker informative posting by you. Yes, I agree that the church is not the mission field but called by the Lord to worship him. As you said that there are Short/Long-term mission trips existing from US and western world. But the men of old from these countries became missionaries and sacrificed their lives for the sake of evangelism. I agree with you that Even Evangelism is required everywhere. As you stated that it should start from our family, locality, neighbourhood, our country and then abroad. If these would be practiced as by the early Apostles like they were evangelizing from Judea, Samaria and to the ends of the earth.

As you said that an average American evangelize 2 persons per week many souls will be reached with Gospel [If the average Christian in America were to witness to 2 people a week, how many people would be hearing the Gospel each year]

Let us reach our neighborhoods with the Good News of Christ. May the Lord will bless us to fulfill the great commission of the Lord.

Even Japan & India is alsothe Biggest Mission Fileds

Spiritual Needs in Japan

Pray for the people of Japan

The spiritual needs in Japan are great. Japan is regarded as one of the most resistant countries in the world.

The Japanese are the 2nd largest unreached people group in the world.

(Shaikh people of Bangladesh are the largest)

There are still 1,700 towns & villages without a single church

True born-again believers represent less than one percent (this is less than some Muslim countries).

The number of new believers each year is almost completely offset by the number that fall away.

There has been very little progress during the past 50 years in spite of intensive missionary efforts.

The growth in the number of Christians has declined from 4.6% per year (following WWII) to less than 0.4% currently.

At the current growth rate it would take 1,200 years to bring the percentage of Christians up to only 7% of the population.

There has been a serious decline in interest & openess to the Gospel.

Most of the churches are very small.

There is a shortage of Japanese pastors (86% of them are over 50 years old).

There is a shrinking missionary force. The number of missionaries has shrunk by approx. 20% during the past 20 years.

THE QUALITY OF MISSIONARIES OR THE METHODOLOGIES USED IS NOT THE PROBLEM WHEN IT COMES EVANGELIZING. BUT IT IS THE JAPANESE MENTALITY ITSELF THAT IS HINDERING MORE PEOPLE FROM COMING TO CHRIST, SAID A MISSION LEADER LAST WEEK AT A GLOBAL CONFERENCE IN TOKYO.

Japanese people value human relationships more than truth and principle, said Dr. Minoru Okuyama, director of the Missionary Training Center in Japan, during his presentation at the Tokyo 2010 Global Missions Consultations.
