Laptop screenPosted : 25 Aug, 2008 06:12 AMmy laptop screen is busted :(. how much will it be to fix it. is't better for me to fix it or should i just save money for a new one |

Laptop screenPosted : 22 Feb, 2009 12:34 AMif the lcd cracked, buy a new one you can get them now for as cheap as 400 bucks, on the low end to replace the lcd, you have to pay for the screen from manufacturer, and who knows if they still make it a minimum of a hundred bucks, than you have to install it which will be a minimum of 200 unless you know how to do it yourself. so on minimums thats 300. most a couple grand. |

I have a few trusted sources on there that I use for parts when I need them for someone. And if you want to take the time to read the service manual, it's really not too hard to swap it yourself. It just takes a lot of patience because you have to get these little tiny hidden screws out :) (that's the part that drives me nuts) |
