I would be very grateful for any prayers that could be offered on his behalf. Thank you, Mark

Maybe those words on his legs have some cultural significance (not the words themselves, but the placement, I mean). The way I picture this passage, I envision a king wearing a cloak, with words written on the cloak and clothing covering his legs.

Pertaining to the Beatitudes, I�m guessing (although I don�t like to assume things) that you are referencing �Blessed are the pure of heart, for they shall see God.� (?) I understand how having impure thoughts about members of the same sex would be a sin. However, when I mentioned �feeling� attracted towards the same sex, I did not mean that the person acts on that feeling. A person can feel angry and choose to fight the anger or let it fuel a sin (whether that sin is a thought or an action). I do not think the anger in and of itself is a sin. Similarly, I was considering the possibility that a person can feel attracted towards the same sex and stop that feeling from becoming a sin. I do not know if this is correct or not; it is merely a thought. I also do not see �feeling� and �desiring� as the same thing. I think that to �desire� something, one has to feed his/her initial feeling towards it, if that make sense. As for my �judgment� comment, I simply meant that if someone did nothing more than tell me (s)he was attracted towards the same sex, I would not close myself off to, condemn, or hate him/her forever. It is impossible for people to go through life without making decisions about each other; and if a Christian believes that someone is doing something sinful, (s)he is obliged to correct the person (if I remember correctly), if possible. If a person refuses to turn from sin, it makes sense to separate oneself from that person; being with him/her is like walking into a building that one knows is on fire. However, I believe the ultimate judgment is God�s to give.

Being heterosexual, I don't know what it is like to feel attracted towards the same sex. I don't know if people are born that way or become that way (or both?). The Bible states that having sex with a member of the same sex is abominable to God (Leviticus 18:22) (well, it says a male-male relationship here, but I would assume a female-female relationship would be the same). I cannot recall any passages that say FEELING attracted to the same sex is wrong (it would be helpful if anyone could post such passages or confirm that there are none). In any case, I leave the judging to God alone.

Thus has God done that he may be revered. What now is has already been; what is to be, already is; and God restores what would otherwise be displaced." with the footnote: "God restores: the meaning is probably that God allows no part of his creation to drop out of existence So, it's saying that God's works are immune to time, never fading away or changing as time goes on.

So, the apostles didn't need their faith increased, because they could do a lot with the faith they already had. My Bible worded this passage a bit strangely, so thanks for posting it. I'm guessing that a mulberry tree is rather large. What is the significance of "the sea" in this passage"? Is it that a mulberry tree couldn't survive in the ocean, so the tiny mustard seed telling it to go into the ocean and the tree obeying would be an even greater feat than the seed only telling the tree to move?
