Random IM?
Posted : 16 Aug, 2009 09:02 PM

That is exactly the reason I have the IM turned off for this site. I used it one time (I did not initiate it) and I was asking asking all the questions and trying to keep a conversation going. It was super akward and going nowhere. Otherwise, it just pops up & you have no control over it and if you even want to have a conversation at that moment, with that person, etc. I just avoid it all together on this site by turning it off.

Autism & Down syndrome
Posted : 16 Aug, 2009 11:03 AM

My cousin had a baby born with Down Syndrome about three months ago and as a family we were devastated at first and there were a lot of difficult things going on. I prayed and prayed for the baby while we were waiting for the results, for Jesus to place a healing hand over her, but I know that God made the situation as it is for a good reason. We love this child unconditionally and will deal with whatever we need to as the time comes as this baby needs extra love and support in her life.

I think the reason for Autism & Down Syndrome fit the same purpose as any other issue, challenge, disability, or limitations some people face. The reason that I would like to think, after having this situation come into my life, is that God is teaching us to be more accepting of other people & their differences, teach us more about limitations others face, and just to slow down & really truly appreciate what God gives to us.

I think it will make us stronger in our faith & in our family. At first it was really painful & stressful, but it has become a huge blessing to us. I can't tell you any Bible verses, but just what I have experienced and how it has affected my family & I spiritually. I thank the Lord for this beautiful child. I wouldn't have it any other way.

Right on Kidd

The way you write is just fine. In absolutely no way does typing in capital letters make you come off as arrogant. Please post as much as you want Kidd. Your posts are definitely read and your opinions are respected.

And as far as the way you speak, speak how ever you want to - you're absolutely right, this is not grammar school and we shouldn't be judging on the way people write/communicate. I've seen comments directed at yourself and Cattle lately and it is uncalled for.

I have no problem with caps. Most of the time when I write by hand it is all caps. The caps just kinda make your posts stick out as your own, I can't imagine someone would actually report you because of it.

Hey, thanks for sharing. Although I don't understand all the science behind it, that was really interesting.

Salt and pepper? Or...salt and salt?
Posted : 12 Aug, 2009 07:31 PM

Well, salt and pepper are the complete opposite, yet they are the perfect match.

I remember hearing someone say, "If we were all the same, the world would be a boring place."

So, I'll go with a mix of salt & pepper.
