GARDENING
Posted : 25 Mar, 2026 07:38 PM

Yes, I do enjoy gardening. Not too many vegetables since it's just me I'm feeding, but will probably at least plant tomatoes, cilantro, cucumbers... and would love to grow poblano peppers, too. They make the best chili rellenos.

It's the herbs and flowers that excite me though. So many I don't know where to start! I'm definitely planning on Morning Glories (love to see that beautiful blue every morning); it wasn't permitted to grow them in my last state. I'll probably add Black-Eyed Susans (for my home state) as well as Dianthus, Nigella and Flax and more... Many things already growing wild here... it's amazing to me... several types of berries, Lamb's Ears and wild roses. I am hoping to get a Peace rose to plant in memory of my mother.

That's enough from me... hoping some other ladies will chime in with their gardening plans.

The Bible says that women will be saved through child-bearing
Posted : 10 Feb, 2026 08:07 PM

Of course, many of us women believe in that sanctity. Childbearing was a monumental event for me, not just the physical implications and the responsibility of it, but how it affected me spiritually. I hesitate to say more for various reasons, but...

...tell me, though, how you interpret the verse in I Tim 2:15. I'm very curious as to how others understand it.

Y'know, after all this time I feel that must be the answer -- thanks so much for sharing it!

This is not a prayer request, but rather asking for opinions on the topic.

I see many (and sometimes even hear in person) requests for prayer wherein the asker simply states the reason as "an unspoken prayer request".

Any thoughts on this?

""RegO07 I agree mostly with what you posted. The only thing I disagree with is teaching logic because I believe you are either born with logic or you're not. Actually it's more like how much logic a person is born with since it varies widely.

However I do believe that by teaching critical thinking skills then an approximation of logic can be achieved.""

Not sure why you have to state that as a disagreement. Certainly some are more naturally inclined toward critical thinking skills. However, a child's (or even an adult's) environment can lead them that way or not.

However, my mention of teaching logic as a formal course shouldn't have been interpreted as the only exhaustive way of learning. It has proved a useful tool through the ages to show fallacies, and the importance of looking at things through a clear lens showing how certain angles can lead a person wrong. In not doing this, some may resort to knee-jerk reactions, following the crowd, etc.

Yes, bring back logic as a course itself. Teach kids how to think, not what to think.

10 Ways to Guard Your Heart Like a good father, God doesn’t leave us guessing how we can guard our hearts ♥️♥️ Here are some of those ways

This seems like great wisdom for guarding our hearts -- thanks for sharing here! It's also especially important when dating/looking for one's match.

I do think #2 was meant to say we are responsible to not 'entertain' the thoughts that may come in our minds.

I heard about this today. LGBT female Bishop

I watched the entire service -- it is the same woman. It seemed like a highly inappropriate time and place to make such statements, a misuse of the podium, if you will.
