Have you ever read the entire King James Version Bible? Even in the "new" Bibles you won't likely find anything at all about a marriage certificate or a marriage license. They weren't even a thing until the mid 1800s A.D.. The intent of them was to grant the U.S. government authority over the most sacred union in the earth, which is the mystery of Christ and his Bride. Think about this also, if a government issued marriage license validated a marriage to be a marriage in the eyes of God, then by default that would mean that same s*x marriages would be valid marriages in the eyes of God and we know that they are not. Yet the government validates those abominable unions as valid "marriages." If they are committed to each other and have agreed to be with each other for their lives, then that is the marriage union that we see in scripture. "The twain shall be one flesh, therefore what God has joined together, let no man separate." Another fact that few people consider when applying to the ungodly government for a license is that there are thousands of laws that have been enacted specifically attached to that license, which subvert God's design for a bridegroom and his bride. It is not good to give the lordship of marriage over to the ungodly government. If they've been together 40 years and are dedicated to each other for as long as they both live, then it is wicked to counsel them to put that asunder. Certainly counsel her to seek the Lord on the matter with fasting and prayers and axhort her to read the King James Version. It really is the only English translation that we have of every word of God which has been preserved for every generation. That is where she will hear the voice of the Shepherd. There is a vast conspiracy of Satan and his angels to subvert God's words by offering substitutes. He did it in the garden and he has never stopped. God's words are true. Every word of God is pure.
Handyman, everyone can see that there are several female profiles that commonly troll these forums, which have not the Spirit of Christ, nor do they have any desire to know the Lord, because they have published their worldview as being at enmity with the words ofGod. That is crystal clear.
They perpetually troll these forums and among them is the most habitual violator, Moonlight. She has well over 25,000 posts here and at least 20% of them are her insulting men that "aren't Qualified to teach Biblical" 🤦♂️. That shows that she either has a mental disability or she may be a foreigner which never learned to communicate in English.
One thing is without question, that she (and others) only want to be reaffirmed in their delusional ideologies of whatever imagination they have of some "God." And they actually hate God's words, because God sets a great difference between man (who is created in the image of God, for the glory of God) and woman (who is made of the man, for the man, for the glory of the man). They will not change or be transformed by anyone's words.
What they need is the Lord and I recommend leaving off scorning them and highlighting their heresy and evil against God and against masculine men and get into the secret place of the Most High in humility and repentance to seek the Lord for mercy and find grace to make your supplications on their behalf, before the Lord. He really is the only one that can cause them to see their own wickedness, as he causes us all to see our own evil and he gives grace to the humble that repent unto him.
I've read nearly all of the posts that have been posted since I came here 5 months ago. What I see is that you also have become as bitter toward women, as they have toward men and even here in the "Ask A Girl" section where the women are deciding amongst themselves of what they think would make a suitable husband (or covenant a man into an adulterous marriage) they still show that they despise the Lord's design for men and for women.
It seems that you cannot cease from trolling them to scorn them, because you lust to generate animosity and feed off of afflicting their hearts, as you have clearly stated that you have been afflicted by a woman of that wicked mindset and worldview that these women hold strongly to.
It's all evil man. There's nothing good that will come of any of this. I don't see any hope of these forums changing anytime soon. Obviously, CDFF is not going to enforce the rules against her because she is most likely one of the admins here. That would explain why the "abuse report" button is disabled on all of her posts and CDFF administration completely ignores reports of her violations. Nearly a week later and not one person wants to testify of how the Lord saved them from the eternal damnation they deserved?
Many people will gladly argue against the truth of God's words here.
Many people will gladly falsely accuse others of things.
Many people will gladly offer teachings of men
Many people will gladly praise men for their works
Many people will gladly speak of politics or leaders
Many people will gladly offer their own understanding
Many people will gladly offer counsel
Many people will say they believe in Jesus
Few people will search matters out
Few people will love the truth
Few people will share what they have learned of the Holy Spirit
Few people will give glory to the Lord because
Few people actually know the Lord.
There is coming a day of great wrath and judgement in which Jesus shall say unto Many "Depart from me ye workers of inquiry, I never knew you" and he shall say unto the Few "Well done my good and faithful servant"
My point is that if you do not have the testimony of Jesus Christ delivering your soul from condemnation being passed from death unto life and having His Holy Spirit inside of you, you are not his child. If any man hath not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his " and Again Jesus saith "ye must be born again. Except a man be born of the water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of heaven. Jesus also said, "my sheep hear my voice." If you do not hear his voice, you do not know him and unless you repent unto God with sorrow and confess your sins and come to the real faith of the only one true Jesus Christ, the Righteous, ye shall die in your sins. You're only fooling yourself and others that do not know better. You are not fooling the Lord. And you know whether you hear His voice or not. Get real with God before you die. Your eternal life depends on it stop pretending
Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.
What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
Therfore a sin against one's own body is a sin against the Lord that purchased the body.
There's no place in all of scripture, directly or implied, that commands anyone to forgive themselves. It is not even possible. Any sin against one's own self is a sin against God. There is mercy to be found only in Jesus Christ, the Lord, the only begotten Son of God and no place within thine own self.
I find it to be quite revelatory to see just how many people will stand in direct opposition with sound doctrine, looking to dispute against the truth. Some men do that to see if there are any different possibilities than what's presented, but when scripture is used out of its context to support an idea that is not written down, but is in direct conflict with the clear teachings of scripture, that is not an upright way to try to discover the truth. That's a deceitful way to fight the truth.
I do not understand why anyone in the faith of JESUS CHRIST would even think for a moment that a secular idea such as "orgiving oneself" would be possible, let alone a biblical idea. Using that kind of strategy to approach any topic, one can try to argue to justify anything that they want to. It will not be sound and it will not hold up to scrutiny. It also isn't going to bode well in the day of judgment.
Looks like there aren't (m)any here that have the testimony of the Lord Jesus Christ and actually have a love for the truth.

The testimony of the Lord makes wise, the simple. I would rejoice to read anyone's testimony of how you came to the faith and how you found mercy and received eternal life. I'll begin by sharing my short version.
In 1998 I came to the realization that I didn't know the Lord. I knew things about him and had read and studied some of the Bible, and had realized that I was destined to receive just eternal judgment for my sins. Overwhelmed with sorrow and a fear of the looming condemnation that I deserved, I wept with a very great weeping wishing I had never chosen to commit sin. The Lord heard my cry and he put a hope in me, that I might still have opportunity to know him. With that, I decided to seek him in earnest to know him and not just to ask him for anything in this world. I set my heart to seek his face. I was immediately confronted with my sins and my guilt was a covering of shame, as the sins of my own soul had separated me from the Lord God, the Most Holy One. The scripture came into my mind "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
With a contrite heart, I began to confess every sin I could remember until I realized that I had sinned so much, I would not be able to list them all. I was ashamed of myself and was nearly hopeless until I remembered the sacrifice that Jesus Christ had given of himself on a cross. I asked the Father if it were possible, can he forgive me of all my sins through Jesus Christ. At that moment, I felt all my inward darkness becoming washed away and for the first time in my life I felt clean inside my soul. It was then that his Holy Spirit came inside me and I knew that the Lord was in me. I became born again, as the scriptures describe. I knew that he would speak to me though his Spirit in his words. I opened up the King James Version Bible and as I read the words before me, out loud, it was different than any other time I had read them. This time, it was the Lord speaking directly to me and he gave me exhortation to walk with him and not with the world any longer. That was when I became a new creature, as the scriptures have said.
If you have never been born again, that is the most important thing that you need to face. Jesus said "Ye must be born again " If any man hath not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. It is only through genuine repentance toward God and faith in Jesus Christ, the Lord, that we can be saved. Most b people that identify themselves as "Christians " have never been born again. Do not be deceived, if the Holy Spirit of Christ is not in you, you are under condemnation and are not saved. You will be justly condemned, eternally, unless you repent unto God and have the true faith of Jesus Christ, the Lord. He came to save sinners.
Moonlight7, Why do you belittle men, constantly in a large percentage of your post replies. You devalue those that have a lower tier membership which is not "free" as you falsely assert, over and over and over and over and over and over again....ad nauseum. Everyone pays with their data and some people choose to pay in currency to have more features. You have been here for at least 10 years with multiple accounts, with over 25,000 posts, yet you're claiming that the men here are not looking for a woman. That's just another lie. Then you claim that "Amateurs" cannot teach "biblical", with incomplete and incoherent sentences, which shows that you either didn't pick-up on the English language in all of your decades of being alive or you might have a mental disability. The latter would explain a lot more of your behavior here.
The topic is forgiving oneself. Please stop derailing the topics to show your disdain for men which are created in the image of God.
You posted a link to an article of 1 John 1:1-9 and then made a false claim that it includes forgiving oneself. That entire chapter is speaking of the eternal life that God has shown through his mercy and how that men that say they have no sin are liars and the truth is not in them, but that if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
There's nothing in there about anyone forgiving themselves. To my knowledge, after reading the Bible dozens of times she studying out many topics, exhaustively, to know the truth and escape the deceptions in this world, there is no such teaching in all of scripture. I'm willing to stand corrected, biblically, if you can show me in the words of God where that is. I'm confident that you cannot because that is a worldly philosophy and is indicative of doctrines of devils, as the scriptures warn against.
You have also promoted secular psychology (which is Satanic) and battle again so many sound biblical truths which cannot be refuted. You show yourself to be an enemy of the truth and an enemy of those that publish the truth. I asked you in a private message about how you came to the faith because there are a lot of indicators that you have not been born again, having the Spirit of Christ, who is the Spirit of Truth, in you. You refused to share your testimony. I have never met anyone that has received forgiveness from the Lord and been given eternal life, being sealed with his Holy Spirit, that was not eager to share their testimony..... EVER.
I've never, in my life, found anywhere in God's words where a man can forgive himself. I see secular psychology presenting that ideology. I see false religions using that philosophy. I don't see that it is even a possibility. Forgiveness is solely given by a creditor to a debtor. A debt is owed. A sin has been committed. The only person that even has the right to forgive that debt or sin is the one which was harmed by the debtor.
I would recommend turning your heart toward the Lord in repentance with godly sorrow to find mercy. When he forgives us of the sins that we have committed against him, he also cleanses us from all unrighteousness. There is no longer a debt to him, hence there is no longer a need to be forgiven. If you're offence was toward others, then only they can offer forgiveness and they are not obligated to forgive (unless they have found mercy, themselves, throughout Jesus Christ), but you are commanded to go to such an one and reconcile. Own your debt and do whatever you can to make things right with humility.
Forgiving oneself? To my knowledge that's nowhere to be found in all of the Bible because it's not even a sound action.
