Today is a beautiful ❤️ day because you are in it!
We all need to be a little more positive. I know that it is so easy this day and time to fall into the trap of watching the news and reading everything and get down. But, we have to step back, and look around to be thankful for the beautiful world we have.
We truly have been blessed to be living in this the United 💙❤️💙 States of America. Even with all that's going on. There is no other country I would choose to be born or go to live. I love my country. God bless 🙏 the USA.
It's difficult being told when we can travel or that we must wear coverage over our faces. As soon as I can, I take that mask off, and let my face breath in the fresh air.
I'm a true Florida native and Alabama raised woman... A Bama fan from way back.
In my 50 years plus, I've learned from success and failures. And along the way, I've been truly blessed.
At an early age, my parents bought a farm. We learned about sacrifice and hard work. As an only girl, with three brothers and a working mom and farmer father, I learned to be self sufficient.
After working in middle schools for almost 20 years sometimes, life throws us curve balls. And I made a decision to relocate back where I was raised to help with my elderly mom.
As a mother of three children, taking care of mom is the reverse role I now accept.
All my children are grown and in their thirties. But surprisingly, they are not married yet. My oldest son is an electrician who also spent four years in the Marines. I have a middle son too who who does CAD (Computer automated drafting) for a large company, and a younger daughter who is a graphic artist.
As a young girl out of high school, I joined the service after my oldest brother had joined the Navy. I served both active and reserves and had the opportunity to travel to many places even overseas several times. I enjoyed so much seeing and learning about other places. That is where I met my first husband, got married and had children. Being in the service also gave me the opportunity to work towards earning a degree in education. So I became a school teacher after serving four years and finishing my college.
History, culture, and the past fascinate me. While teaching, I taught social studies and language arts.
Having a good sense of humor would be a great to share with the right person. Laughing and giggling, telling stories, watching comedy... It's a relief to let go and be yourself.
A cook since I was a kid, I've been told I'm pretty good with traditional southern cooking by my family. My daughter now loves to cook too. The boys are pretty good both on the grills and cooking inside the kitchen too. I'm pretty proud of them.
One my favorite channels to watch is HGTV for home and redecorating ideas. I love taking old and bringing it back to beauty.
Once in a while, I enjoy going to go dance. I like listening to good old rock and roll music.
Faithfulness to God is so important. And I believe a couple should share core beliefs and values. I tend to be a conservative Christian. And I would love to meet a man who would be a Godly man and spiritual leader of the family.
