My name is Jansen, and I'm not looking for a girlfriend, ultimately I'm looking for my wife. That perspective scares and challenges some people, but I won't waste someone's time just because they look hot if we're not compatible.
That being said, I'm not looking to rush into a relationship. I believe in a period of friendship first, then [[courtship]], engagement, and then marriage. This would probably take a few years, but I'm not in a rush.
The infatuation with beauty fades over time; long-term relationships are built on communication and mutually compatible goals and values. I tend to have a long-term perspective on things. For example, I have multiple careers that are very flexible on my time. This way I will always be employed, but I'll also be able to structure my work life around my wife and kids.
I know what I want out of life, and I know the type of person that I would want to share that with. Some would consider that being picky, but I would rather be unattached than stuck with the wrong person. I'm just looking for a person who has the same high standards I do, and though flexible, won't settle for someone just because they feel like they have to get married.
I'm not the bar-hopping, random pick-up type of guy. Instead, I've focused my time on being a better and more worthy person. If you want to be with someone exceptional you have to strive to be exceptional!
I am extremely multifaceted with a lot of hobbies and interests, and hopefully you are too. Some of the things I like include mountaineering, skydiving, and piloting airplanes. I also volunteer for several organizations in my spare time.
