I moved back to my roots in 2000. I've been single for many years. In 2005, I began dedicating a great deal of my time to writing. So far, I have published four books and hope to include more in my collection soon. My writings are meant to encourage and inspire others. I have also worked with ladies in a renewal/recovery program teaching them how to express their feelings and mend their wounds through the different techniques of writing.
I do live by very high standards. Jesus is most important in my life. I am grateful to have a close relationship with Him.
I try each day to please my Lord by studying His Word and being kind and compassionate to others. I'm even grateful for the battles I fought in the past, for through them I learned to appreciate life's blessings even more.
Life is filled with some of the smallest things that can enrich us beyond measure. I could only touch the surface with the ones I will mention here, but they are some that make my world beautiful and cost nothing or very little: The color purple. Butterflies and angel wings, because wings represent freedom, thus I am reminded that I am set free from the past. The scent of a soft spring rain and the sound it makes as it lightly taps upon my window. Cutting into a juicy ripe watermelon. Eating ice cream. Sharing old memories and laughter with special friends and family. Being able to laugh at myself. Recalling sweet moments with my precious mother. A kiss on the forehead, just because. Dancing in the kitchen. Giving and receiving big hugs. An autumn ride through the mountains. Writing from my heart. Sharing my heart with someone who cares. Being an answer to someone's prayer. Forgiving someone who has hurt you more than anyone should ever be hurt and has left undeserving wounds deep within your being. Last, but certainly not least, worshiping and honoring my Savior every day. I have so many reasons to be grateful.
