- About Me
- I'm a Christian in a sense that I am presently not able to define quite as rigidly as I could in the past. I identify presently as Eastern Orthodox, though that could change as new information becomes important and available to me. I was raised Methodist and quite conservative. I converted to Catholicism when I was twenty, then left Catholicism recently due to a variety of factors, both personal and beyond that. I am presently trying to understand Eastern Orthodoxy, enjoying the works of Sergei Bulgakov and Vladimir Solovyov, two very important thinkers from Russia in the 20th century. I no longer identify with "conservative christianity" and I am not a supporter of the Republican Party or of Donald Trump. Okay, the heavy handed part of this profile is over with. I enjoy good conversation, good food, good wine, and a variety of movies. I'm open to nearly anything if it can possibly add to a good time. I don't believe in being reckless but I don't believe in being tight lipped and overly careful either. Life is not supposed to be like that in my opinion. I work alot, which I used to think was bad, but honestly I enjoy it. I have my own apartment and live alone, though I have a cat who likes to hide underneath my bed unless he's hungry. He's funny like that. I have a long and complicated history and if that's too much for you, that's fine. I don't own a car and am content presently to utilize public transport, uber/lyft, and my legs. I don't rely on other people to get me back and forth to where I need to go. I like to spend alot of time alone, but I do enjoy close associations with people I can trust. Maybe you could become one of those people. Oh, and I have a mood/anxiety disorder which has made my life really hard. If you can't handle someone with a mental illness, then just don't bother with me. If you have mental illness yourself, or at least have empathy enough to comprehend what it's like, we'll probably have an easier time. If you're judgmental, of if christianity is in your mind all about being really "nice" and supporting the status quo, capitalism, gun rights, and all that nonsense, then I don't really want to talk to you and I think you're sorta misled to put it mildly. I'm not interested in judging you and as long as you're open minded to differences, I'm willing to be very tolerant of who you are and where you've come from.
