I am intelligent, curious about life, laid-back and young-at-heart. I am also analytical, overly so in some circumstances. I am therefore learning to listen to my heart a little more these days. I like to delight in the small things in life and have a grateful spirit. I smile a lot, which is often remarked upon. I also tend to make people laugh a fair amount and don’t take myself or life, with the exception of family and health, too seriously.
After trying my hand at social impact investing for four years, I am back working as an independent tech consultant with a focus on economic development. I am also a trained teacher. I currently teach a couple of courses for the NHS. I enjoy attending and organising events - talks and conferences rather than social events.
I love music. It is my sanctuary and I am probably at my happiest when I am listening to it. I try to go to a live performance, of some kind, at least once a month. I like eating out and am slowly working my way through the world’s cuisines. I have a sweet tooth and have to be super-disciplined when there is cake around!
I went through a really tough period in 2021, but it was good to have God to lean on and seek guidance from.
