I know it's a common favorite, but this simple verse has held so much value to me throughout my life. People often ask me how I'm so positive all the time, especially working in a field where lots of long days lead to high levels of stress and tension. Being able to point to this verse and show somebody all of the reasons they have to let go of their anxiety and their fear and instead trust in God is one thing in life that brings me true joy.
My name is Matt and I currently work as a controls engineer, designing and integrating hardware and software for automated tooling and welding systems (I promise, it's a lot more interesting than it sounds). Each day I'm presented with new problems and new challenges, and these daily opportunities for self improvement and personal growth are what keep me going. I am a huge fan of the outdoors and would much rather spend my time outside hiking or exploring or just simply taking in the beautiful scenery that Michigan has to offer over sitting inside and watching tv. I love to travel and I have a rather large bucket list of places that I plan to visit. While I love my job and work often takes up a good portion of my time, I would give it up in the blink of an eye for my friends and family. Possessions are meaningless to me without the people that I care about to share them with. I don't really have any huge expectations for joining this site, but I figured it would give me the opportunity to meet some new and interesting people that hold similar morals and values to mine. I'm not one to rush into relationships. I'd much rather take time getting to know someone and let things work themselves out the way God wants them to.
