I am on here seeking to make a connection with someone, I would consider myself a strongly devoted Christian, the hope would be to formalize a friendship with potential for more, a Christ centered gospel focused relationship. My faith in my beloved Lord, Great God and Savior Jesus is the most important thing and it's what gives my life to the true meaning. I would consider myself a Confessional Orthodox Presbyterian, and attend an Orthodox Presby Church (OPC) that is my denomination, not to be confused with the mainline liberal PCUSA, or the sister PCA.
I hold to The Reformed Christian Faith/& Tradition of historical Protestantism: such as Covenant Theology, and its subsequent sacraments, & doctrines, things like the Confessions & Covenantal Baptism, Penal Substitutionary Atonement. The Doctrines of Grace : Predestination, Election, Particular Redemption etc. The Five Solae of the Reformation & lastly Cessationism.
I am definitely not opposed to making a connection with someone of a different denomination ; I believe as long as one holds to the necessary/required beliefs for orthodoxy such as (the deity of Christ, the atonement as fundamental soteriology) then a potential relationship is certainly possible plus I am fine with that. :)
Daily bible reading is something I commit myself to and If I am unable to read then I will plug in the audio bible and listen away. I have read my bible various times which has been challenging for sure in multiple languages, several concordances, commentaries and study versions. I am not a KJV only-ist but am not offended by anyone who is. I enjoy reading the Bible in the NASB, and the ESV, because of its reliance on the Alexandrian manuscripts and their authenticity.
I attend an Orthodox Presbyterian Church weekly and am involved in its ministry.
I do enjoy living an active life, such as jogging, weight training/cross fitness, & martial arts. As a matter of fact my current job (which is all outdoors) requires that I be physically able to do lots of strenuous physical lifting. I do have body art as in tattoos so if that is going to be an issue for you than we most likely wonâÂÂt match.
While I still feel like Iâm in my early twenties I must admit working the job I do makes me realize other wise, I am not getting any younger and I am looking to settle down, start a family and eventually get married. That is one of my main goals, im not interested in pointless dating that goes nowhere I am currently searching for a potential marriage partner.
I know that on social dating sites we are encouraged to describe ourselves and at times we can exaggerate ourselves and abilities, that said I will be sincere and state that I myself am a sinner, and I deserve God s wrath, I am a man with a sinful nature BUT thanks be to God through faith in Christ Jesus that I no longer have to live in condemnation, I am a continual work of sanctification for as long as I may live, not perfect but the Lord is purifying me so that my life may honor him.
My personal faith is the affirmation of the Nicene Creed, Apostles Creed, and other subsequent future councils that followed which laid out a concise proclamation of faith and confession of authentic Christianity ie. The WCF (Westminster Confession of Faith), WL/SC (Westminster Larger/shorter Catechisms), as well but to a lesser extent the three forms of unity amongst reformed protestantism : Belgic Confession, The Cannons of Dort, & the Heidelberg Catechism.
While I do hold to the Westminster standards, I believe they are subordinate to the inspired, sufficient, holy scriptures.
That said I do believe it is important for a Christian to know why and what it is that they believe in, therefore I hold to the Nicene Creed, Apostles/Athanasian creed, etc..
I believe the western church today lacks an adequate understanding on ecclesiology and soteriology, but such theological matters are important for me and only serve to strengthen my faith in my Lord.
I attend Reformed Theological Seminary, specializing in New Testament Theology/& studies as well as biblical Koine Greek.
The great C.H. Spurgeon once said every Christian is either a missionary or an imposter. My own mission is portrayed in the form of apologetics and biblical exposition, I enjoy spreading the gospel by engaging in profound theological discussions with Muslims, Atheists, Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormons, peoples of other faiths; in order to get to the heart of the matter, man's sinful nature and his need for salvation. So I ask myself, if one has no drive to share Jesus with anyone can they even in good conscious call themselves a "Christian"? Faith is active and alive, any faith without works is dead.
Obviously as my profile states, my current status after years of coping it leads me to finally begin wanting to meet people & I would really love to meet someone who shares my ideals, points of view and or if they just find anything I've said interesting to not hesitate to contact me. May the peace of God the father and the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.
