About Me
1 John 1:6 - If we say that we have fellowship with God, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

Hi! First off, I'm a Christian (meaning I'm a Bible believer) and I'm very passionate about that. I believe the Bible to be the infallible word of God and the ultimate authority concerning who God is, who we are as God's creations, why we exist, and how our lives should be conducted. I believe in a sovereign God who has no need of us, yet freely chooses to condescend unto us in Jesus Christ so that we might have our sins blotted out and be reconciled to him forever.

I'm kind of a simple guy as far as general interests go. I'm down for eat-outs, road trips, hiking, movies, and rap music (but I'm a bit particular about what I listen to; I don't listen to anything that contains with cussing, shallow materialism, objectifying of women, and other unsavory content), etc. I honestly don't do much hiking and road trips and that's probably largely because I've been somewhat of a loner for a few years, but like I said, I'm down. I don't care much for sports, but I do work out regularly.

There are a lot of beautiful people all over the world. In fact, a friend of mine found someone from the Ukraine on this very site back in 2010, they got married shortly thereafter, and they've been together ever since. However, I am simply unable to do long distance relationships. It just involves too many challenges.

Thoughts:

Repentance unto eternal life is not a change in conduct, but a change of mind. Faith is the assent of the new (changed) mind to the Gospel, which declares that Jesus Christ died to atone for the sin of man. It is only through this faith that man finds the righteousness of God and the disposition to conduct himself in a way that is pleasing to him.

I have a pretty deep affinity for philosophy. If I were to describe my personal standpoint, I might say that I hold to a form of ''rationalism''. Jesus affirms a truthful rationalism when he says, "Blessed are those who believe without seeing" and Paul the Apostle, also, when he says, "We walk by faith not by sight".

The insistence on the part of empiricism, rationalism's opposite, that knowledge comes from sensation is undermined ironically by its own dependency on metaphysical (non-sensible) biases (i.e. faith commitments, which govern thinking regarding *literally* all things). Biblical rationalism, on the other hand, allows a kind of regard for sensation; After all, Jesus was physically seen of men. But it does not ultimately need sensation for its own validity. Therefore empiricism is but a fatally inconsistent parasite to rationalism and not vice versa. ;-)

This is all I got for now. I should be adding more later. Thanks for visiting and God bless!
