My name is Josh and I'm a Christian looking for a Christian lifetime marriage partner. I'm in the Army so she will have to be prepared for the strains, trials and tribulations that can bring.
The qualifications I am looking for are as follows. Non-negotiable:
Must be a woman, born a girl, and identifying as female (I'm looking for a God-ordained marriage).
Must believe that Jesus is God the Son, that he died for our sins and rose back to life, and is the only way to heaven.
Must believe the Bible is the word of God and is the ultimate authority on all relevant issues.
Must not be divorced.
Must have her parents' approval before we get serious.
In order for us to be compatible, I'm also looking for these traits:
Recognizes that human life begins at conception, when a new human being is formed.
Recognizes God's plan for the family, including the husband's role as the head of the household (in turn, I promise to be a loving and gentlemanly husband).
Must be willing to wait until marriage; it's ok if you have a past, but starting now, we need to take a Biblical approach to our relationship. I am willing to be a father to kids if it is clear they don't otherwise have one; however, if the biological father is willing to do his duty, I believe she should do what she can to make it work with him instead of trying to find someone else.
Has a good relationship with her family, especially her parents.
Does not smoke or do drugs. Drinking is OK in moderation but must not be a habitual drunk.
The following is preferred but not required:
Loves country music, especially the old stuff (Alan, George, Hank Jr., George & Tammy, Conway & Loretta, Randy Travis, etc).
Loves college football (and hopefully doesn't root for the Longhorns, because I am an Aggie and that won't change).
Is a staunch political conservative.
I have no preferences of age or race; also, I don't tend to initiate conversations online, instead waiting for ladies to contact me, so if you meet the qualifications, don't hesitate to send me a message!

- FIRST date? I don't know. Those can be kind of awkward. Might be good to just meet at some sports bar or nice-ish restaurant (I'll buy unless you insist on paying for your own) like Texas Roadhouse. But some romantic date ideas I have include a picnic, and/or a long drive through the country, or just dinner and a movie. I love long drives through the country.
