I'm looking for someone around me to hang out with, explore the coast, watch some Netflix, and see how things go. I'm not the most religious person in the world. I grew up Christian, I had some problems with the way my family's church operates, but I've always cared about the story of Jesus, so I'm trying to re-discover that connection now. I'm here because I'd like someone to go on that journey with, and I always enjoyed the company of Christians more. I find faith to be a beautiful and inspirational thing in a person, so that's what I want to be around.
A bit about me, some shows/movies I like are: Comedies like The Office and Monty Python, thrillers like The Americans, Historical stuff like Vikings, anything by Ghibli and Disney. I also like a lot of old movies.
Some Music I like: Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Tame Impala, Porcupine Tree, Arctic Monkeys, Kaizers Orchestra, Árstíðir. Recently discovered Aurora so I've been listening to that a lot.
Right now I'm going to college to get a degree in linguistics. I wanna work in translation, and I'm also thinking of taking a TEFL certification program they have and spend some time teaching in Europe. I speak German now and I'm trying to learn Japanese. (I chose those languages because I'm apparently a traitor who secretly wishes America lost the war.)
I enjoy doing stuff outdoors too, like tennis and hiking. There's some good hills around where I live. I also got this electric fat tire bike that was supposed to work on sand, but it really doesn't so I just ride it around the neighborhood.
Currently re-reading The Hobbit for like the 6th time. Also, Rankin-Bass > Jackson, I'll totally fight you on this.
