Greetings, Fellow Christians: I am a mature, widowed, Christian academic seeking a marriage partner who is spiritually compatible to love, cherish, and work in the vineyard together. I prefer one who is a true believer and who endeavors to live her life as prescribed by scripture. That one will not have any regrets having me as a life partner whatsoever. Even though, I do not wear my beliefs on my sleeve, I am a deeply spiritual person, who at this point in my life is pursuing two meaningful objectives in furtherance of my a Christian beliefs as follows: (1) to make every effort to live a life devoid of offense to all human beings (definitely, a daunting task); and (2) to help those less privileged as much as possible.
I was happily married for slightly more than thirty years until the Lord called my beloved wife to glory. I am not looking for a girlfriend for the sake of being with someone even though social isolation can be inimical in many ways. I am looking for a marriage partner with whom I can learn, worship, travel, and contribute to improving other people’s lives with the talents and resources God has graciously given us.
My friends give unabashed accolades for my culinary skills. Some go as far as asserting that if I were not an academic, I would probably have been a chef. Because of the gift of cooking well, I have more confidence in what I cook than those who cook in restaurants for a large number of people. As a result, I am very careful about what I eat and how it is prepared. Yet, I am tolerant of those who eat anything, anywhere, anyhow, and how much. I am relatively flexible, therefore, I am seeking suitable partners far and wide as well as near. Therefore, let the distance not deter you from considering my entreaties if you feel I can be a suitable partner. I will make accommodations for us to know each other and see if we are right for each other.
Finally, if anything I say here is of interest to you, don’t take my word for it, please do not hesitate to take the first step by contacting me so that a serious exploration may begin. I often hear women say, there are no good men out there anymore. I am here to say in all humility that I am one. It is up to you to find out if you’re serious. It is not about intellect, wealth, handsomeness, or any of the transient things of this world, but rather about the joy of knowing and worship Christ together. However, if nothing about me tickles your fancy, I offer my earnest prayers for your quest for a suitable partner.
- First Date
- As the first date is likely to be preceded by many exchanges between us, it will be by necessity, a casual one to serve as an affirmation of what we know about each other. As such, a long walk on the trail or an earnest discussion at a coffee shop will be a good beginning. But I will leave that to the preference of my partner. Whatever we decide to do, the date will end with a prayer of thanks to our gracious Lord who has made it possible for our paths to cross and request discernment from Him as we proceed with the new relationship.
