Life has been a bit crazy for me over the past decade, but I have now found myself on solid ground. I know who I am, and whose I am as my identity is in Christ! I also have been praying for God to make me content in my singleness if that's what life has in store for me ... and it just hasn't happened. Christ is definitely enough for me... but it is not good for man (or woman) to be alone (haha!) so ... I have been praying and trusting Him to introduce me to my future spouse whoever that may be. I have been praying for the restoration of Job over my life, praying that God would renew what had been stolen. :).
I serve in ministry so I pray that my life is a reflection of that ... that doesn't mean I can't have a little fun ... I believe in the sanctity of life and marriage, I also believe in grace and forgiveness.
So, what is it that I’m looking for? (I’m not looking for perfection...I certainly am not perfect. Grace, forgiveness, and good communication are critical)
A man who puts God first in his life. Family second.
A man willing to step up to be the spiritual leader in the home. A man willing to partner with me as we strive to have a 1 Cor 13 kind of love that is patient and kind ...
I do not believe in divorce, but am thankful that God allowed for my ex to walk out of my life and divorce me. He was unfaithful and abusive, and I don't think I would ever have left even though I had every reason (including Biblical reasons) to. So I believe that God was protecting me.
I also do not believe in dating more than one person at a time. If there is mutual interest, I believe that people should explore that relationship together. If you are dating lots of different people, how can you really get to know that person? I also believe in intentional dating. I am not here just so I have a boyfriend ... I am dating in order to find my forever person and once we find each other, there will be no need to look any further. :).
Honesty is critical. Trust is hard for me, and if someone breaks that trust, it is hard (if not impossible to get it back) ... just be honest. I also don't want to be someone's plan B, a back up plan ... so make sure intentions are in the right place. I am done having my heart broken, so if you are a person who is not really interested, say so and move on. And if you are looking for a hookup, I am not the one for you. I also am not here for games so if you are not truly interested, and only looking for someone to fill your time, move along. And as a side note ... time fillers leave a person unfulfilled and there will always be something missing. Just saying.
