While I don't fit into a box (I'm usually thinking outside of it), most would consider me to be traditional when it comes to relationships.
I believe in the biblical standard that men and women are not equal--I mean really--what man can do all the stuff that God gave women the ability to do? What man could change diapers, clean up kid throw-up, etc. And still be able to look smoking hot in her jeans and her husband's plaid shirt?
A woman is to be honored and revered by her husband. His job is to earn her respect every day, and make her (and their family) feel protected, loved, and secure. A good husband lives his life for this purpose.
I want a woman to live for. A goodhearted, generous, loving, strong, intelligent, fun, health-conscious, nurturing, christian, self-confident woman who wishes to raise a family together in a traditional sense--more or less.
Personally, I have an unusual perspective when it comes to the Bible and Christianity: I believe it pretty-much says what it means [gasp!]. For instance, I believe Jesus turned water into actual wine. Therefore, it is OK for Christians to consume alcohol, yet Christians should not drink to excess (e.g. getting drunk).
My life has been one with many challenges the average person has not had to face, but what I've had to deal with pales in comparison to what some others have had to overcome. It boils down to this: God allows hard times because he's teaching me something. Everything happens for a reason, and I am a willing student, even when I don't like what I'm going through. If you want a man who knows what Faith is, you've found him. :)
Back to one of my favorite subjects: Women
I prefer a woman with big dreams and goals because I myself have many plans which expand at least the next 20 years. It would make my life adventure so much better to combine my dreams with hers.
I need a woman of moderation. One who always drives safely, does not smoke (or maybe just socially), does not drink or gamble to excess or out of addiction
The only addiction she should have is to me--in a wide variety of exciting ways. Likewise, she would be my addiction, one who I would please both physically and emotionally, almost without limit.
I'd prefer a woman who likes a beer or glass of wine now and again or at least doesn't mind if I do, and I don't mind if she likes to wear a streak of purple in her hair, or has a couple cute tattoos. Get the picture? I want her to be herself. I want to enjoy her quirky sense of fashion if that's her thing.
I wish for a woman who is completely honest, reliable and responsible, but fun and spontaneous when the spare moments avail themselves.
You never know when I might call you on my way home from work and tell you to pack a 3-day suitcase. No questions. Just get in the car. I promise you won't be disappointed.
Oh, and April fools day is a longstanding tradition in my family, though we are practical, not mean. So she needs to be a creative prankstress and love to laugh.
The woman I seek to marry would preferably be younger than I (because I am over 40, and have no children, but do desire them one day). I hope to find this lady to be in her 30s, though for the right person, age may not make a difference. If you already have children, I'm OK with that. I've always had good parental instincts, and kids generally like me.
If most of your friends are 10+ years older than you, and you find people your own age to be immature, you might want to make sure I know you're out there.
BTW, distance is merely an inconvenience.
