- About Me
What I would want everyone to know about me is my love for God. My goal and desire is to glorify God and be more like Lord Jesus the Messiah. I want to serve Him and advance His kingdom.
I believe that it is very important to believe in the correct gospel. The following is what I believe. Do you believe this too?
The prophet Isaiah once said; “Woe is me, for I am ruined! Because I am a man of unclean lips, And I live among a people of unclean lips; For my eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts” (Isaiah 6:5)
It was a similar type of response that the apostle Peter gave years later when he suddenly was amazed by Jesus; “Go away from me Lord, for I am a sinful man!” (Luke 5:8)
When confronted with the reality and holiness of God, they suddenly were aware of their sinful condition.
People have a tendency to compare themselves with other people and will say to themselves, “ I’m not as bad as a lot of other people. I’m overall a good person”. But when we compare ourselves to God, we know that we all fall short. The Bible says; “There is none righteous, not even one” (Romans 3:10)
“for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23)
There is not one person that deserves to be in the presence of God. Not one person deserves to go to Heaven. God’s holiness and justice demands that all sin be punished. The Bible says, “For the wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23). “The soul who sins will die.” (Ezekiel 18:4) Even just one sin is enough to condemn us to Hell, “For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles in one point, he has become guilty of all.” (James 2:10).
So how do we become right with God? Try to sin less and do good deeds? No. “by the works of the Law no flesh will be justified in His sight” (Romans 3:20)
God is a merciful and loving God. The good news is that He sent His Son, Jesus, (God the Son (John 10:30)) to die on the cross. Jesus fulfilled the Law and took the punishment that belonged to us. “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)
“He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” (2 Corinthians 5:21)
“In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses” (Ephesians 1:7)
“there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12) Jesus not only died on the cross, but was resurrected 3 days later (1 Corinthians 15:3-4) so that those who are in Him will have eternal life.
How do you receive forgiveness for sins and eternal life through Jesus? The Bible says that you are to repent and put your faith in Jesus. (Mark 1:15) Repentance means that you recognize that you are sinful, telling God you are sorry for your sins, and turn from your sins and follow Jesus as your Lord. Faith means that you trust that Jesus paid the penalty for your sins and that through His death and resurrection you will receive eternal life.
“ if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9)
“For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9)
God, not us, gets all the credit for saving a sinner.
