September 06, 2022: In recent dishonest, grave, democracy undermining and destabilizing years... a representative from so-called "conservative-christianity" was stationed in the vice-presidential position of America. "You will know them by their fruits". Climate change denial and inaction as the planet is increasingly devastated, in a human caused mass extinction event, with the clock running out. Making it harder for some folks to vote, and easier for other folks to subvert the will of the American people and overturn elections. A "legitimate political discourse" ATTEMPTED COUP by a TOXIC TERRORIST (who it goes without saying as a reputable source of honesty and trustworthiness is absobloodylutely NOT), and the sort of closest and most zealous allies who could probably use a presidential pardon or two. Rotten enough to gag a maggot, is the ACTUAL TREACHEROUS LYING and PLOTTING to overthrow an election proceeding! :-o And the same disconnection from God that was Pharisaism... you get from a purported christianity concerned more with BADLY lying, than just LYING. (Matt 23:27, 28). "We will make sure that when a kid is in the womb, they're as safe as they are in the classroom" (Sarah Huckabee Sanders). There have been 27 school (and 450 mass) shootings so far this year. Guns are the leading cause of death of children and teens in the U.S. As a matter of fact, wasn't Jesus a poor homeless anti-wealth "radical", with an extremely "liberal" based philosophy of equality and inclusion, tolerance forgiveness peace, compassion and LOVE? (as an alternative to HATE). Expecting any who follow Him not to fit in, but to stand out and be counterculture and radical? (Mt 16:24-26). In SOLIDARITY with the RICH and WHITE-NATIONALISTS?... I'm pretty sure it's safe to say a SINCERE follower of Christ is NOT! "What would JESUS do?"... Don't know about you but it does seem to me something like turning tables over and chasing people with a whip are at the top of the "to do list" if you catch my drift?! "When the Son of Man comes, will He find anyone who still has faith?" (Luke 18:8) As far as I can tell the hardship essential for attaining an entrance into the rule of God (Acts 14:22), is being declined to be endured... so long as the world is not being shown anything more true-to-life of Christ than jewelry-crosses. "Christianity has been watered down until the solution is so weak that if it were poison it would not hurt anyone, and if it were medicine it would not cure anyone" (Tozer). To my eyes the world looks more like a battleground than a playground. As Christ prophesied, His enemy planted weeds among His wheat, which similar to darnel look much like the wheat in the early stages of growth. It appears the many being led astray, 'falling away' from the true faith, the 'Great Apostasy', kicked into gear the day Roman Emperor Constantine in a clever political move to unify the empire introduced paganized christianity as an official state religion, and himself it's divine de facto head. I see ravenous wolves masquerading as shepherds... celebrity preachers and mega churches contrary to Christ's intention (Mt 18:20). And I would have to shutter my eyes, in order not to recognize a harlot false church called 'Babylon'. (She's the one who's horrifically persecuted the 'remnant' church of Christ. The CITY that reigns over, and has unholy alliances with the governments of the world, Revelation 17 & 18). There are some for whom this stuff is anything but trivial and mind-numbingly boring... frankly, I am one. You get what I'm blabbing about?...
...Given the fact that in the "wilderness" testing for fulfillment of the conditional "Promised-Land" of Christ's full life (James 1:12), I'm no success story... any boastful claims of love for God or godliness, would be lacking authenticity. "The seeds that fell among the thorns represent those who hear the message, but all too quickly the message is crowded out by the cares and riches and pleasures of this life. And so they never grow into maturity" (Luke 8:14). "...the road leading to Life, is so difficult... that NOT MANY are finding it!" (Matt 7:14) I think I've tried somewhat harder than your run-of-the-mill alleged Christian, but I fall short... so any impIication I was some kind of pillar of virtue, would be more B.S.--ing than stretching the truth. Wearing a black robe, holding a gavel, being cold, shunning, holier-than-thou... strikes me a lot more like Judge Judy than Jesus. And if it might turn out there was only one thing I got right, (no harder for me than for Jesus)... it would most likely be the difficult choice between the company of rough-around-the-edges "sinners" or well-polished religious hypocrites.
...In a sentence I'd describe myself as: "A NOT perfect fool-for-the-truth social misfit, distressingly decomposing at warp speed, who in the course of a more often than not lonely life, more than once impulsively dove into a long-term relationship that was by no means compatibly well-matched". Thank heaven misguided pathways turn out some of our most memorable stories. But I'm considerably more familiar than I wish I was, with the haunting hunger for a harmonious connection, in preference to a relationship with barely tolerable differences. (Research suggests that 60% people who suffer loneliness are actually living with their spouse).They say there's someone out there for everyone... but GEEZ, I think the "right one" for me might have been hit by a truck or something!? I need honesty... don't want to hide who I am to fool you into liking me. Since my early years as a young follower of Christ, I've been on the lookout for an off-the-beaten-path woman who: can actually handle the truth (John 7:17); won't make-believe it's possible to "accept" Christ without forsaking the world (Mt 13:24-30; Mt 5:13; Mt 24:12,13); wasn't blind as a mole to but quite the contrary was humbled by HER natural genius ability to "miss the mark"; and would consider me beneath MY imperfections as worthwhile. That I might be chasing an unrealistic expectation, in the beginning I never imagined... but with a heap sight more days behind me than in front of me, it sure isn't hard to see the resemblance of an improbable pipe dream now! I'm on disability, use public transportation, and this disclosure has the most amazing "separating the wheat from the chaff" filter effect on those claiming to love and follow a Christ who had little money and few possessions. "The problem with the rat race is that even if you win, you're still a rat" (Lily Tomlin). Someone with something worthwhile to say, and the ability to COMMUNICATE it, is who I am looking for. A stimulating conversation that arouses and holds the attention is as rare as a white crow. Apathy and indifference = GODAWFUL. I would rather be alone than with a "don't take life too seriously" advocator who doesn't give a rat's arse about anything other than self. If you're still reading, I'm Dean... a die-hard wishful-dreamer, of perhaps still stumbling across a reasonable match out there. Afraid I'm at least a few french fries short of a Happy Meal. ;-) If YOU have something to say, I would like to hear it! Question is: DO ya?...
