About Me
Spiritually I'm just a 21st century prodigal son. Ecclesiastes is my favorite book. Thomas is my favorite disciple. Ellicott's is my favorite commentary. I'm a KJV kinda guy (the language is beautiful and the opaqueness forces me to slow down and study). I'm not too big on the social gospel or egalitarianism/complementarianism. And most importantly: Faith alone, Grace alone, and Christ alone.

I'm a classically trained musician. I have a dog named Magnolia. I once got in a fistfight with a goose (it was self defense and I won). I believe in a healthy and clean lifestyle and am about to move from my suburban home back to the family farm to live out that lifestyle: avoiding processed foods and other unpleasant, unnatural things, organic farming, living closer to nature and tradition, focusing on more meaningful relationships with my community, and a pace of life that isn't centered around netflix and microwaves. So if you hate the idea of picking your own herbs for your evening tea and playing with baby animals all day, I might not be the guy for you.

I believe that what we are given is to be held dear. Our families, communities, churches and nations are to be cherished, protected, and stewarded towards Christ. Traditions should be based in Godly understanding, should reflect the simple joys of living in creation, and should be passed on to our children as the art of life that makes us a unique corner of this world. I think that we should strive to develop ourselves spiritually, intellectually, physically, and artistically. Daily study and prayer should be sought after, as should developing useful skills. We should strive to keep ourselves healthy, fit, and attractive (for our sake, for our spouse, and to set an example for our children) and we should strive to understand and communicate all the little things in life that are true, good, and beautiful. When given the choice between worldly acceptance and hard scriptural truth, we should proudly cling to biblical teaching regardless of what anyone else thinks or says.

I'm very family oriented and focused; both on the family I currently have and the one I hope to have. Everyone has their list of traits they want in a spouse but to be honest, the only thing that matters is that when we look at scripture we realize it is perfect. We aren't going to try and sugar coat it or twist it into something more palatable to modern sensibilities or our preferences. It's perfect. And out of respect for what Christ did for us it is what we will attempt to live out imperfectly but diligently. That's the relationship goal. I would like children. Raising them in the faith is very important to me - as is protecting them physically and spiritually. So homeschooling is something to seriously discuss. Also, I'm not 26, I'm 35. I can't tell the difference between 85 and 95 when making an account and can't change it so here we are.
