I am kind of a renaissance man, and have a wide range of interests. I have a lot of scientific training, but have still maintained my faith, probably because I have had a few supernatural experiences with the Holy Spirit which are hard to deny.
By California standards I am still very conservative, being pro-life. Honestly I don't see how you can claim to be a Christian and not be. I recently took up skateboarding at age 61! It's an electric skateboard. I figure that it will be good to help me maintain my balance as I age. With the virus lockdowns it's not a great idea to go skiing or snowboarding for now. I married late in life, so my kids are still young, ages 8, 11, and 15. Sadly, I was divorced in Oct. 2020. My kids live with me part time.
Over the last year I have been listening to a lot of podcasts from Jordan Petersen, Sam Harris, Dave Rubin, Joe Rogan, Bret Weinstein, Eric Weinstein, etc. They are so-called members of the IDW aka. the Intellectual Dark Web. They are a group of intellectuals from both the political left and right who have come to realize that since their views don't really fit into the standard categories of "left" and "right" they have been excluded from mainstream media, so they have forged their own ways to communicate with readers.
