Without faith in God, I believe we have no hope. None of us have lived without making mistakes, sometimes committing horrible offenses, for which we bear guilt and shame and then live life pretentiously in denial of having caused any harm. For the hurt we both have endured and have also caused others, we must be able to bare our souls and live transparent lives of honesty or never be open to receive nor be able to give love. Compassion and forgiveness are the key to unlocking ourselves and freeing each other from the bondage of pain and being driven to seek relief in indulgences that ultimately frustrate and fail us. If I cannot openly share all of my shortcomings and transgressions with my partner and be accepted for all I am and am not, then the relationship is not worth having. With me you will find grace. We are in this life together and cannot walk together through life if we do not become as innocent children with each other again as we were once.
