I just finished reading 20 articles on how to write a compelling profile. And with that said, I’m more than confident that I’m going to totally mess this up.
I’m not a wind-kite surfer who skydives off the coasts of Bermuda. I can’t beat Hugh Jackman or Chris Evans in an arm-wrestling competition. And I don’t look like Ryan Gosling.
But I know how to do manly things.
-Like doing the dishes.
-Putting the toilet seat down.
-Cooking so she doesn’t have to.
-Rubbing her feet because of those darn murderous high heels.
-Putting my cell phone down and giving her some due attention
-Picking her flowers because they reminded me of her.
-and just listening when she needs me to, because her feelings, and the things on her heart matter.
Yes, I do like other things you’ll find in other profiles. But I’m not so sure a woman is impressed that a man can hold a fishing pole or drive a big truck. I don’t think she’s impressed when he brags about his job or business. Though I am completely capable of providing. And why should I regale you with tales of my travels to Hawaii, or how I’ve hiked on volcanos, or hand fed wild sharks?
Would you really be impressed by my ability to catch you a delicious bass, or treat you right?
I mean, if you want the bass, we can do that too.
But, just saying. You’re here to find someone worth your time.
I can’t be Mr. Perfect. I’d have to be perfect first. But I can be Mr. Right-for-you.
Hopefully that’s enough.
