I think and feel deeply about things & value loyalty in friendships. I enjoy the stimulus of teaching students – learning myself, as well as explaining and helping others understand. The college lecturing work (in Engineering) is fun and engaging, but also demanding. For relaxation I enjoy the great outdoors – walking, cycling and getting to know the English countryside close by and further afield - the outdoors is perhaps my default way of relaxing and letting off steam after a busy week of college lecturing and admin. Living in rather flat Bedford, I miss the hills of Ethiopia and my native Wiltshire, and have started travelling further afield in search of some proper hills!
I enjoy spending time with people, getting to know folks from a variety of cultures. Fifteen years in northern Ethiopia and some valuable friendships has left me with a deep affinity for that country and its people. I regularly email / WhatsApp with Ethiopian friends and try to keep abreast of the latest developments in the country.
I'm a Christian involved in a local fellowship who takes his faith seriously and looks for opportunities to share with others. I enjoy reading and thinking about my faith and am currently part-way through a Theology Diploma. I believe life’s experiences are better shared, and would like to meet a pretty wife, interested to share and grow together in our walk with God.

An alternative would be a nice day walking, with a picnic in the countryside, but of course that would all depend my partner's preferences and on the unpredictable English weather!
