I am a recent widower - my wife died of ALS in the summer of 2020. She was the first and last girl I ever dated, so this is VERY new for me. But I am a quick study. (I'm OUT THERE, Jerry, and I'm LOVIN' IT!). I'm a life-long English teacher. Like many of you, the accomplishments I am most proud of are my three brilliant and accomplished sons, my one grandson, my marriage, and my career (and maybe the full-length musical I wrote).
I love literature and popular fiction (mainly suspense-crime-mystery - I read 17 novels this summer) and independent as well as popular movies (big sci-fi fan). I am "about average" now but am on the cusp of "athletic- fit (just got my new Fitbit!). I'm a bit of a homebody but love the outdoors; I am only truly content when I am volunteering or giving back somehow (usually academically or musically). I'm a decent and willing comfort-food cook (AND I do my own dishes). The circumstances of my life -as a dad, teacher, and caregiver - have not allowed for much travel or gym time but I am looking forward to both in my future.
I'm looking for companionship, conversation, and affection. To the many seeking a partner in crime, I draw the line at misdemeanors (and I really have to like you). I am playful, warm, and very funny (40 years of students will vouch for me.) I am unapologetically fond of parenthetical insertions. Oh, and I will sing to you (or with you) on-demand :)
