About Me
About me:
I've been divorced for 4+ years. The pastors at my church helped me to “pick up the pieces”, encouraged me to become active in the church, fellowship with other Christians, join a Men of Iron mentor/discipleship program and to take a DivorceCare class. The blessing of my divorce is that the testing of my Faith and Trust made me grow closer to the Lord, led to my salvation and through the grieving/healing process I have become much more empathetic and caring to others.

I am a single dad, with a 7 yr old daughter and an 8 1/2 yr old son. While I may be an older dad, my children keep me young and extremely active. I volunteer as an assistant coach for both their soccer and little league teams. I take them to church every Wed night for KidsClub and to children’s church every other Sunday. While my children are extremely important to me, I believe that "to put the children first" means that you must put your spouse before them and you must put the Lord first. Simply put without His strength you can’t support your spouse or children through the trials of life. Without your spouse it is extremely difficult to support your children through the trials of life. As an analogy, place the oxygen mask on yourself, then your spouse and then the children…

I am actively involved with my church. I am currently taking DivorceCare for the 2nd time as training to be a future facilitator in the program. I also attend a men's bible study, a sermon series bible study, a pastor lead zoom study, I volunteer for Vacation Bible School (VBS) and attend services weekly.

What I am looking for:
I am interested in meeting a woman that has a true Christian identity; that walks with and finds her strength in the Lord. I hope to find a woman with a joyous heart that can become my best friend, someone that can help me to continue to grow in my Faith as much as I would encourage her to grow in her Faith. Someone that can enhance my life as much as I would like to enhance her life. I would like that my prayers to meet the one woman that God has chosen for me to be answered.

Favorite verses (you can ask me why…):
Galatians 2:20 "I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me."

Numbers 6:24-26 “The LORD bless thee, and keep thee. The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.”
First Date
Hopefully by a first date there would be enough communication that this is a simple no stress decision and mutual “comfort levels” can be gauged. The goal is to meet, talk and get to know each other in person and in a casual setting.

Coffee and pastry or a light meal is a nice subtle “no pressure” way to meet....
But, if conversations before a first date have gone well...
I think brunch after services is also a possible first date suggestion (your church or mine)...
And if conversations before a first date have gone very well and there is a mutual comfort level, then…
A relaxed casual dinner near the ocean with a walk on the beach or a boardwalk might be an ideal way to begin to "get to know you in person".
