- About Me
-
Christ is first in my life, above all. He made me creative and crafty, with a love for reading and writing. I'm a quirky introvert, who loves singing, sci-fi, and psychology (sssssssee what I did there?). Despite my introversion, I enjoy leading discussions and asking questions to help people think through things. (Deep conversations are nearly always preferable to small talk.) I love all kids and teaching. I have been known to knit, crochet, sew, paint, sketch, doodle, fold origami, and other more obscure crafty endeavors. I like words, and coffee, and tea, and I have an embarrassing amount of yarn... and craft paper.
I like to use artistic means to express my faith. I like to play sports, but I don't really like watching sports on TV all that often. I try to be intentional to learn and grow in what I read and watch. I enjoy quality time, and deep conversations. I am looking for a godly man who is willing and able to put God and others first. Someone who will challenge me so we can be iron sharpening each other.
Feelings following faith, following the facts from the Father.
We follow the facts, the promises of our Father's favor and faithfulness, standing firm in the foundational truths articulated in the autographs of the immutable, infallible God.
Though the fortitude of our faith flows, the facts never fluctuate and are never found to fail. The facts fortify the flow of our faith, keeping it fast and firm.
Our feelings fluctuate further and more frequently than our faith. Yet, the facts remain firm. Follow the facts, finding them firmly founded in God's flawless and perfectly faithful nature, and your feelings will fall in line.
If our fluctuating feelings follow our flowing faith, which follows foundational fact, then we will be following the Father and despite the difficulties and fears in life, we will be firmly fastened in His faithfulness.
Note: Please, no smokers. And I'm not interested in someone who is divorced. (I do believe in God's power for redemption, and yet I also believe that marriage is for life.) I'm also not looking for a hookup. I seek to practice Biblical purity.
And, I'll be honest, if you wink/message/favorite me I will look at your profile. I will read what you've filled in, but if it's not filled in much past the basics, I may choose not to respond so as not to waste anyone's time. I have spent time on my profile so that anyone who visits can get a feel for who I am, but if there's not much on your profile, then I don't have anything to respond to. A few pictures aren't enough to tempt me, because I'm looking for a life partner. I want someone who is willing to put effort into a relationship, into communication, and I believe that starts right here with how you build (or don't build) your profile.
- First Date
- I'm more interested in developing friendships that may grow into something else eventually. That's hard online, I know.
Ideally, I'd prefer chatting on here somewhat intermittently until we get to know each other some. That provides some security in anonymity, and it also allows me to get a feel for how you communicate. If I feel comfortable, if I like what's been said, and if I'm interested to hear more of it, then I may decide to move the conversation outside of CDFF.
If we were in the same place, a group setting would be good. There's often too much focus on presentation when it's just the two people.
