I'm a Bible-believing Christian who has realized that God most likely has no spouse for me. I'm done with the whole dating thing, and I'm just looking for friends now. Certainly not looking for perfection. But looking for someone who will make an earnest effort. Friendship is a two-way street. It would be nice to have someone to go places with if I can find someone who has similar interests.
A little about myself - I can be very serious, yet quite :goofball: at times! I prefer laid back people who are not easily angered because they have a calming effect on me (and I hope I do the same for them). I'm very much looking for someone who believes he is my equal and can carry on a decent, intelligent conversation.
I've wanted to be married since I was a teen; however several factors have made finding someone more difficult than usual. Being an introvert, I've often been overlooked. I had serious health issues from ages 25 - 40, so no energy to do anything other than try to get better. Thankfully, I am MUCH better now!
I've got 2 cats, so being a cat lover is a plus. I live in the country on a few acres, and I very much enjoy taking care of things and people. I like working around my house (gardening, making home improvements) and being thoughtful toward another person. Recently I have taken up shooting, which I enjoy. It's very interesting to learn about guns, which I knew very little about, and to keep improving my skills. I also like to go to concerts on occasion (rock, classical).
I lift a few weights and do other exercise when I can, so I try to take care of myself. I'm also into natural medicine and healthy eating. But, I'm not a vegetarian and I do sometimes eat junk or have a :Mug:

- To participate in activities together, we would have to see each other in person. Therefore, I prefer that people within a reasonable distance of my city contact me.
We would do what friends do - enjoy interests together that we have in common. It would sure be nice to have someone to hang around with. The people I work with are very nice, but all of them seem to think that driving more than 10 minutes is too far to go - they act like I live in the next state when, in reality, I live 30-45 minutes from them! Apparently I'm one of the few people who believe the saying, "The road to a friend's house is never long."
