This being a new experience for me, I thought I would give this avenue a try! I've been out of the dating scene for what seems like "eons", hopefully the words I use can do justice to who I am and maybe what I'm about. One never knows where a GREAT love can start!
What can one say about themself in a brief summary? Well here goes... My FAITH, my FAMILY and my FRIENDS are what I value in life, anything else that I receive, I look at as gifts from God! My kids are my life and any one that knows them understands what true blessings they are! I have 4 (yes 4 kids--3 boys and a girl) and they would make any parent proud! They ALL have high aspirations for their future careers (university bound). My children are VERY active in academics (GITA--Global IT Academy and AP coursework, National Junior Honor Society as well as oldest son was a People to People Student Ambassador to Australia/New Zealand between 4th & 5th grade) tutoring and other volunteer opportunities as well as athletic (Pop Warner Football and Cheer--4th in the Nation in her category, NJB basketball, Little League Baseball playing and umpiring, high school football, soccer and track). I'm a sports/academic mom and their biggest fan/cheerleader (I can get loud at games and competitions, goes with the territory)! They are fairly self sufficient (though if I don't prepare at least one home-cooked meal a day, they'll forrage for snack food constantly) are like most adolescents (messy and mouthy at times which I attribute to age, though overall GREAT). My kids are the ones that remind me all the time not to worry (that's a mother's job, hehe) and to turn EVERYTHING over to God!
Looking for a God-fearing man first and foremost! Any man that puts God first, has their life ordered appropriately. Looking for friendship that could possibly develop into something deeper, in other words, looking for my BEST FRIEND, not a cyber friend (though I know it will start that way using this forum). I have been a one-man woman for the past 26 years, 22 years of marriage. I will NOT involve my children in a relationship until the relationship reaches the point where I feel someone will want to be around on a permanent basis. I tried to not post photos on a public site due to the privacy that I value! If you wish for more, it will be through a private email account please. Appearance/first impression is definitely important , though character and personality will ultimately matter the most. I can assure that I don't require a "bag" or anything else to cover up. I mentioned that I like to dress comfortable, meaning that I can be comfortable in designer evening attire (I work for a high-end clothing retailer) or sportswear (just dress appropriate for the occasion).
I like to cook (baking for the holidays is a treat) although going to a nice restaurant is always a treat. Walks at the beach or hikes in the mountains, going to the movies or just staying at home watching a movie and snuggling on the couch is always welcomed. I've been known to go to an amusement/water park from opening to closing (kid at heart I suppose).
Adult conversation is always a plus, though I would prefer to not debate politics. I try to keep up on current events and anything newsworthy. Please pray for the families in Connecticut (even for the family of the gunman--a tragedy all around)!
I've been fortunate to travel to parts of Mexico, Canada, The Caribbean (most recently a trip to the Bahamas), Hong Kong & Macau, my passport is still valid, hehe!
I enjoy public displays of affection (if you are afraid to hold hands, kiss in public then something is wrong) though the chemistry must be there for both parties (not one-sided)! I'm a "hopeful" (not hopeless) romantic and looking for one special man to give my love and share my life with.
I can be shy at first, though I will open up once I feel comfortable. I tend to make friends (age is unimportant) easily and can tell when someone is genuine. Something I wish to overcome is Public Speaking (never been easy--though I can now speak in a group setting).
I try not to be serious all the time (I can be a "dork" should the opportunity arrise) life is way to short and I want to enjoy the precious time that I've been given.
If you have children I will welcome them (the more, the merrier)! I am an affectionate, caring person, giving (I like taking the time to choose specific gifts for family &/or friends for Bdays and Christmas--it gives me joy) and can't be specific as to what my actual "love language" is at the moment.
I like to give and receive random texts (unlimited texting plan and phone calls "just because". Good listener (not just someone that hears only), would like to be some special man's gorgeous eyes, magnificent mind and warm heart! Looking for my BEST FRIEND and possibly my PRINCE CHARMING all wrapped up into one, if this is you, let me know!
I enjoy attending church and participating in church related activities when time permits. Would eventually like to possibly become a Stephen Minister (one on one interaction) and maybe a Womens Bible Study such as Moms in Touch!
I value honesty, trust, integrity. I am loyal, sincere, trustworthy and honest! I truly care about others and their well being. If you are my friend, I'll do just about anything for you (if able) just ask! If you are my family, I'll protect you with my life!
