- I was raised in Lubbock, moved to east Texas about 19 years ago. Then moved to Alaska 8 years ago, Then life suddenly changed and so relocated back in east Texas to be closer to my family. Have filled out profile and then deleted profile. Have decided to leave profile for now. Want honest sincere person in my life.Friendship has to be , before anything else. honesty, trust and reality.As I have gotten older realize that relationships are a lot of hard work. Unconditional love and forgiveness, and realizing that we are constantly growing and changing. That is not always a bad thing.,And i believe that when you wait on the Lord,in His timing, HE does confirm his word. Am learning to be more like a Mary,than always being a Martha. .Just out of 18 years of marriage, sorting out what I want and don"t want in a marriage. What I do want is total honesty from that other person in my life. that liking that other person,is as important, if not more so,than just loving someone. That what it takes for marriage to work, comes from learning and growing, from the inside out, not always looking and starting from the outside in. That when your not around the other one,you miss him or her, not because you have to have them there, but because there is such closeness there, that he misses and feels the same way. That you both complement each other, not think you have to have the other to complete you. Have spent serious study time in Corinthians, and learning what God says about love, in His word.That His love never fails.Our human nature and our definition for love, will always fall short. but when you really get God,and who we are in Him, failure is not an option. Life has been too serious and too hard, for too long. refuse to just settle for just anything or anyone, in my life again. Here are some of the qualities, i am looking for long term. A friendship, a sincere respect for one another. That you like, and value that friend,as much as you love them.That we truly are best friends to each other.But that we also learn about trust, and forgiveness,knowing that we have imperfections, and act on emotions. A settling and a knowing inside,that he is right where God wants him to be too. i do know now the number one quality he has to have is that peace and joy, sometimes silly, sometimes serious when he needs to be spirit. grounded in God and seeking his will for himself also. knows biblical foundation for what marriage is, and who we are to be to each other. have very old school qualities and values, maybe because i haven't been out there in a long time. But know most of it is God given expectations, and my will is to walk that places Him first , (God) simply because He first loved me. Don't think I am anywhere near perfect, or better than anyone else. just growing and want someone special in my life who wants the same. have learned to lighten up, and appreciate my life more. Have found joy and peace in my life again for the first time in many years.want someone who realizes just how special this life is. Who wants to appreciate the values that are most important in our lives. God Bless.
