I've been called a jack of most trades, master of a few, and those few are pretty important. My best title earned so far is 'Dad'. All children are truly gifts from God and I accept that I'll answer for what I've done with the precious gifts He's given me.
And it's in the vein that I look at who He may be willing to give me as my best friend, partner and prayerfully, wife.
I'm single because of divorce and have 4 kids: 3 of which are grown, 2 live at home full time with me.
As for me - my lil sis describes me as follows:
Funny, kind-hearted, optimistic, creative, adventurous, creative, spontaneous, likes to travel and meeting new people. AMAZING that she had NOTHING negative to say at all about me!(...payment's on the way, Chris!)
As for what I do in my free time - kinda goes with my interests(a little limited in the drop down options here): mentoring my kids, reading, writing, people, ideas, history, humor, music, nature, working out, swimming, personal/professional development, photography, playing guitar, attempting to sing('attempt'!) animals, movies, the outdoors(esp. beach/ocean), podcasts, random researching, day tripping, conversation(the deeper, the better),...plus a lot of other stuff!
As for who I'm looking for:
a woman who is all-in for Jesus, and will kneel on the Rock with me in prayer when times are uncertain, tumultuous, and yes, in the best of times. My desire is for a woman who has His heart. If you know Him, you'll know his heart!
I desire a loving compliment to me, shoring the other up when (not if!) we fall short. She'll walk beside me, and will help us stretch and become the best man and woman in Christ that He truly wants us to be!
Oh, and it's best that she likes to laugh. And not just a little bit. As my sister already told you: I've kinda funny.
Really.
And she should like being active. Life is about movement and discovery, more than it is rest. I'm not the couch potato kind and Lord willing, won't be until that's about all I'm physically able to do!
Now that said, I am in NO WAY knocking a good nap, chilling at an outdoor cafe or snuggling in front of a fire, or watching a good movie at home or at the cinema!
Lord bless and comfort all those with an aching heart that waits on who He brings to be their partner in this life! While it's hard and a struggle to wait(I know!), just know we're in the 'honeymoon phase' with Jesus and Him alone at this time, so lean more into Him!
And I ask anyone reading this far that we lift up in prayer all our brothers and sisters in Jesus who are waiting for that special person who He has for us. Remember: Jesus is still very much in the miracle business and He's listens and answers ALL prayers ('no' and 'not yet' are also answers, even when we don't wanna hear it!). Just rest in Him!
